Laura Benanti to return to SINGER October 3rd!

Hello everyone
I know this has been murmured about on the "WEDDING SINGER Appreciation Thread", but I wanted to make a more official announcement.
I just got a signed headshot and very sweet card from Laura Benanti today in the mail. Well, in her letter, she basically thanked me for my drawing and letter and such, and then mentioned returning to the show. I will quote what she said exactly in her note:
"I am sorry I missed you and your family after the show. My voice was really beginning to suffer so I was sneaking out the back to go home and rest- now I wish I hadn't! I am feeling better, and will be back in the show Oct. 3rd."

So there you have it, Laura is going to be returning to THE WEDDING SINGER on October 3rd (not this up-coming Tuesday, but the Tuesday after that)!

I can't wait till she comes back!

i could post pictures of her picture and letter if that would make you feel better- my camera is out of batteries now, though, so it might be like tomorrow or something...

Bree, I think bway's posted some things about Laura that have turned out to be true, so it's okay to believe her. :) I think.

Good to hear. Also, good to hear that at least we've got a show until the 3rd. Granted, things always change and contracts don't mean anything, but every day this show lasts, I'm happier.

Let me be more clear, I am in no way implying that Bway is lying, I just know Benanti is a huge flake. That's what I meant by "I'll believe it when I see it". My skepticism was aimed at LB.

I'm SOOOOO happy she's coming back!

dont get me wrong, I adore tina and think she is tres adorable, but I NEED to see laura. Like seriously. need.

I am SO HAPPY for this. I saw Tina in the show and she was fantastic, but there's just something about Laura.

Gah, this means I need to make it back to NYC! Hell, I wish I could be there on the 3rd, but that's not going to happen...

she is very sweet, i really didnt expect her to be nice for some reason...

haha, I love her even more for not knowing how to spell. That arrow was my favorite part of the whole letter. It makes celebrities not look like robots because we all know how perfect they are.
