I will be there on the 3rd. I'm anxious to see Laura Benanti's take on the role. After seeing the show twice, both times with Tina Maddigan, it's hard to picture someone else in the role. Judging purely by the cast recording and the photos I've seen, Tina seems to fit the role better vocally and physically. But who knows... Perhaps Laura will change my mind completely!
l love you without knowing how... or when... or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride. I love you because I know no other way than this.

Laura was having so much fun on stage. I felt tonight what I knew was missing the last time I saw it.
The whole cast seemed to be having a blast. Steven was out but Kevin Kern was a wonderful replacement.
I just can't get over how seamlessly Laura sank back into the role after being out for over a month. She was having a blast. Throwing in some ad-libs. It was such a great night.
Plus...I caught the bouquet.
WELCOME BACK, LAURA!

Maybe she got some inspiration from Tina Maddigan's take on the role. I'm just sayin'...
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
AHH!! i cannot frickin WAIT to see Laura!!!!! i ADORE her in this role! It fits her perfectly and i am SOOOOO glad to hear she did a WONDERFUL job!!! AHH!!!
Excuse me? I'm going to ignore that last comment, iluvtheatertrash. To each his own sucka!

I think what iLuv was referring to is the fact that Phantom just will. Not. Shut. Up. About how awsome Tina is.
And I have too agree. Reguardless of how I feel about either performer. It was cute and kinda sweet at first to support someone you like, but now it's just annoying as hell. Are you physically capeable of talking about ANYTHING else?

DrunkyMcWasted- Obviously, with a screen name like that, you're a fan of The Wedding Singer. Well, I'm a fan of Tina Maddigan, just like you're a fan of Laura Benanti. Deal with it.
Tina always had a fresh take on the role. She was amazing to watch, especially all the bloopers. Why wouldn't I miss such a great actress?

yay! laura is pretty damn great! im soo glad to hear such good reviews! this is getting me even more psyched to see the show again (which i didnt even know was possible)
Laura fans are classy. They don't purposely go into threads supporting an actress' return to their role in a Broadway show and post about how their favorite actress was better.
Apparently Tina fans do.

Tonight was really amazing - I was so glad to see her having so much fun and to see her back in the role - she just does so many special things that I miss when she's not there.
Welcome back Laura! It was great!
*side note* - Kevin Kern is a HOTTIE, wow. And amazingly talented, to boot! I was all about him and Laura together. Adorable. And they just took to each other so well even though it was their first time on together!
Now what would you say if today I started over?
Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover
And I'll pretend like everything is already alright
And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

Last I heard from Richard Blake, he said he would be leaving around mid December or something.
Kevin Kern is a swing in TWS. I am so sad I missed his first time on with Laura.
Between this and Kitty, the poor man is probably exhausted. And just as a reminder, Richard Blake is out this Saturday for anyone that wants to catch Matt Stocke as Glen.
