The New York Times had reported last March that Scott Rudin intended to produce this play, but he has since dropped out due to "creative differences as to the direction of the script.”

Laura Linney is exactly the pick I would expect MTC to make in introducing this new residency role, but I hope it doesn’t result in more of the dreck she’s been saddled with the last few years.

It is always a pleasure seeing Linney on stage. But good god, I hope this play is better than Lucy Barton.
