I know this has been posted before..but Lea Michele MUST be Elphaba at some point. Movie or broadway, I don't care. She rocks, and would be unbelievable in the role.

you came to that conclusion from a boring rendition of one of the verses where she isn't even flying! lol!

Um, I can't be the only one that would rather see Kurt as Elphaba.
What I can't believe is that someone managed to make Schwartz's music sound worse than it already is. Impressive.
LM's voice is a little Disney imho to be Elphaba.

Remarkably, for a Stephen Schwartz fan and yet not a fan of Wicked, I find Ms. Michelle's voice better than Menzel's because it doesn't sound as labored. IMO, Menzel is one of the infamous Broadway belters guilty of perpetually over singing.

It's also been run through a computer.
I want to see a GLEE version of WICKED with Kurt & Mercedes. They can fight it out who gets to be who.

Phillis, Menzel is pitchy too, just look at the clip from the Tonys....

I know, but she wasn't autotuned at the Tonys.
There's ALWAYS gotta be that one person.... Damnit. Enough with Lea Michele and "Wicked"!!!

... This is a reeeeally disappointing rendition. Anybody who has heard her version of "The Wizard and I" knows she could belt the hell out of this.
And a big fat "Oh, please" to the autotuned comment. Lea is by far the least autotuned sounding cast member on Glee, and she sounds EXACTLY like that when she sings live. I enjoy Menzel, but Lea is a far more consistent singer than Idina could ever hope to be.
where can I hear her version of the wizard and i?
It used to be up on *~*that site*~*, but I think it might have gotten deleted. I think it was taken from one of her cabaret shows. It wasn't a very quality recording if I recall right, but it was the first time I remember realizing how far beyond Wendla's range she could sing.
