What she's not saying (due to Twitter's 144-character limit) is that the "funny girl" she refers to is the homeless woman who lives around the corner in a large refrigerator carton.
Why would anyone, even Barbra Streisand, watch FUNNY GIRL to celebrate a million Twitter followers? Also, why don't a million people have something more interesting to do?
Ok, I have to ask. i must have not been around when the Orfeh catastrophe happened, but what's the big deal? Why is she so hated? Feel free to PM so this thread doesn't blow up.
"These rabid fans...possess the acting talent to portray the hooker...Linda Eder..." -The New York Times
Orfeh was not hated. Orfeh was just not universally loved--like anyone--and criticized--like anyone.
Her crazy fans, though (I have to say they're the craziest I've encountered, although I never met any Claymates and didn't spend time stagedooring Spring Awakening), started an absolutely nasty bitch war anytime someone dared question her genius. They'd usually start by listing her award nominations.
I mean, really, there's somebody who doesn't like EVERYBODY. It was just stupid and pitiful and very, very...depressing.
I don't hate Lea Michelle. I've only ever seen her in RAGTIME, and I thought she was cute. I was just wondering why anyone would feel compelled to watch FUNNY GIRL to celebrate anything?
So is just bragging at how much money she has now? Regardless, I don't even want her DREAMING about being Fanny. it's just not a right fit. She needs something less beloved like Wildcat. OR COCO!
