Amen, Kad. I don't think a single person who has EVER been privy to even one of her outbursts could sit here and say "Good for you and your success, Lea." Not. A. One. The first time I saw one, my jaw was on the floor. Now, I cross the street when I see her anywhere. The stories about Glee filming the season finale and how she behaving when she was out and around are plenty, especially along 9th Avenue at a few established where she would stop in for a meal.
Broadwayguy2 - I will have my grandmother say a novena for you if you TELL US THOSE STORIES!!
Don't name names...but TELL US!!!
She could stay on and play the principal's assistant, just like Screech!

I know I'm new to these boards, but I don't get why you all hate GLEE.
If it weren't for people like Lea and shows like Glee, Broadway would not be nearly as successful. I can tell you now that there is no way a show like Pricilla or actors like Neil Patrick Harris would exist if Glee didn't take a stand about gay people. It has opened to door for gay things to be allowed on Broadway.
Oh good Lord. It looks like the summer troll season has arrived.

You do realize, of course, that the Priscilla musical, Neil Patrick Harris and Broadway itself all existed before Glee, right?

^umm RUDE.
It is true that I have way more time to post in the summer, but that doesn't meet I have never looked here before. All because people see things from a different perspective doens't mean I'm a troll. Trolls are big and ugly and dumb. You assume that because we have different thoughts.
So would call anybody who speaks a different language tall, dumb, and ugly? Didn't think so.

Pretending for a minute that you aren't a troll, how was I rude? I just responded to what you said, which included crediting Glee for Neil Patrick Harris's career.

That wasn't directed at you at all. You actually made a good point.
It was for YouWantitWhen. I don't tolerate name calling.
Funny, I did not indicate who I was directing my comment to, but clearly you self-identified with it.
With regard to your specific post, I will just call you ignorant - is that better?
Anth,
Isn't you backing me up at all a sign of the apocolypse?!
Don't break the 7th seal, Demi!
Someone told me similar things about Lea Michele, and it seems that she is just kind of misguided, having been groomed for showbiz since childhood. It does show a very deep insecurity. We all have issues with ourselves, but showbiz really accentuates those things.
I also do not know Lea personally but I've heard enough stories to know of her Diva moments that make me believe she would be a pain in the ass to work with. However now that she HAS become famous she WILL get work simply because she will bring in money. It's a small community and people do get blacklisted if they're extremely hard to work with, she's lucked out by getting Glee.
I don't hate her as a performer but honestly I've not been wowed by her either. Her voice sounds like the 1000s of BFA musical theatre girls that come to NYC every year, it's nothing special. Her voice is pretty but that's about it for me. Her acting is mediocre at best. Seeing her in Spring Awakening was just awful (then again I found just about all the girls in that original cast to be awful actors except for Lilli Cooper) but I will admit she's somewhat tolerable on camera.
I'd be interested to see her in a different type television role considering she stole Rachel's character from Reese Witherspoon's Tracy Flick character. This is a prime reason that I would not want her in a Funny Girl revival. I'd rather not hear a Barbara Streisand impersonation when I can see and hear the real thing. Whomever plays Fanny should make the role their own not try and copy someone who was better.
And I think I've just come up with the name for my friends new dog!
That "combo" is actually quite common -- and really, what a horrid thing to say. Especially since her heritage has nothing to do with her choices as a prima donna -- er, I mean person.

Lea Michelle kinda reminds me of Neely O'Hara from "Valley of the Dolls" (the book anyway, not was able to get through that awful movie).
Granted alot of Neely's later dealings haven't happened... yet...
I hate you all but you don't see me bitching about it on the internet.
^Isn't that you bitching on the internet?
Actually, I'm dubious as to whether she actually CAN bring in the money with her name alone. She is yet untested in that respect, since she's only really appeared under the banner of a larger commodity (Spring Awakening, Glee), and it's that commodity that is what's bringing people in.
