The guy sitting behind me at Carrie a few weeks ago apparently worked on the production in some capacity and didn't have much faith in it but was singing the set's praises. Something about a thrust stage and stairs to the balcony. I thought it sounded a little far-fetched. Can anyone elaborate?

I would love an elaboration about the set as well... thrust and stairs to the balcony?!

There's a picture on the preview thread of the curtain. There's not much of a thrust, but there are stairs that go down into the orchestra. Perhaps there are some on the side too? I don't see those in the picture.

Jordan Catalano joking? Really that doesn't sound like something he would do AT ALL, especially when he's had the courage to address this serious issue of audience members having to endure the sight of crew members on stage. It's absolutely disgusting!

Totally off-topic, but I just finished re-watching My So-Called Life on Netflix and did it bug anyone else how in every episode every character referred to him by his full name? Every single character. Even when Angela dated him, she still referred to him as "Jordan Catalano", never "Jordan" like a normal person. I suppose it's because he's so awesome that one most call him by his full name, you know, to bask in its glory.

oh I thought people were saying that there was stairs actually going up to the balcony. I actually posted that curtain picture

The night I went, there were stairs on the sides of the boxes that came down to a slight thrust on the stage. It worked really well for me and I didn't have great seats.

There was definitely a staircase on each side of the stage that led up to the boxes on Wednesday night. Several characters entered and exited that way. I couldn't tell, however, if they went all the way up to the balcony.
