OMIGOD.
That is horrific and scary!

re: Legally Blonde - Dream *STUNT* Casting

Allofmylife, I used to be completely against LEGALLY BLONDE, but after seeing the MTV presentation I realized that while I enjoy the score (even with its many shortcomings, it's fun) and I think it has marvelous direction, Laura Bland Bundy was the only reason why I can't fully enjoy it.
As I'm sure you know, Kristen Bell was never an option as she was contracted with VERONICA MARS at the time the show opened. She's very good friends with Laura Bland Bundy (who co-starred in Bell's show) and also very good friends with one of the producers. Honestly, she is a much better actress than Bundy and she would have made a fabulous Elle Woods, I'd love to see her in the role.

I'm another person who would only ever pay to see this show if Kristen Bell was Elle. But that's not even a burn on Bundy, because Kristen is the only person IN THE WHOLE WORLD who could make me see LB.

LBB Is fine in the show and has great energy and comedy timing

Rachel Dratch as Paulette would be brilliant! I too was hoping she would have gone on to Broadway with the show. I wonder if it is because she can't belt it out?

Or perhaps Varla Jean Merman as Paulette, inspired!

Oh what the hell, we're in the hands of Bell.

I adore Kristen. Visiting the "Veronica Mars" set at the studio in San Diego during the filming of the second season was one of the greatest memories I have. AND she'd make a great Elle. She is one of the funniest women in the business, with a droll delivery that I adore.

That being said, I still think Laura Bell Bundy does a great job in the title role.

But it's just me.

K BELL. I adored her in Veronica Mars and she would be an AMAZING Elle. And I love LBB, but I think KBell could be 10 times better than her. And she seems to be as polarizing as LBB, too. People either LOVE her, or wish her death.

Kristin Bell and John Krasinski are way too good for LB. That being said, I would still love to see then as Elle and Emmett.

re: Legally Blonde - Dream *STUNT* Casting

madame_no: I actually think that it's the script's fault. I can see what they wanted to do with it, but I think that the execution was poorly handled--that they didn't think their brilliant plan all the way through, pretty much.

I'm actually fascinated by LB and how the creators' attempts to make it better just completely backfired on them (for the most part).

Anyway, for casting: Kristen Bell for Elle Woods, definitely.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

re: Legally Blonde - Dream *STUNT* Casting

My main issue with the show is that at the end it just feels like a "best moments of the movie" kinda thing. I don't think it really adds much. I wonder if this is the creative team's fault or the producers who probably wanted the show to be as close to the movie as possible.
I think Jerry Mitchell's fast-paced direction is pretty fantastic though.
Here's a piece of little Kristen Bell dancing her cute butt off, and allofmylife I officially envy you a lot for getting to visit the VERONICA MARS set, I can't get enough of that girl, she's hilarious AND fantastic during dramatic moments as well.

@ pink_the_color

I hope John Krasnski can sing. I have no idea though. If he could, it would be all over. I would have to marry him. Just have to right now.
