Is it me, or does that video make the show seem VERY low energy?

Also, the end of So Much Better looks REALLY weird without the girls rising, but the bag isn't as bad as everyone is saying.

EDIT/There are also some pictures in the Sights and Sounds of the tour cast (some not included on Playbill's website)

Not a big fan of the gal who's playing Elle.

I think the one girl who is currently in SHREK, and understudied the role on Broadway, would have been a far better choice to play Elle.

Haven Burton, she is amazing. And was a very good Elle, and I really don't think that video captures Becky very well at all.

Unless Haven Burton, Tracy Jai, Asmeret Joined the tour cast and Kate Shindle then they cheated a little bit and used some photos from when she step in..... Gotcha

hmm I like her riffs, but she's missing something here..the tempo of the song also seems slower..and I don't like how they hold up a purse for the "S" in So Much Better

I guess I will see this month in Boston! :)

the score sounds different here, besides the slower tempo, I don't like the weird accents the bassist plays in the very begining.

Becky sounds good but the tempo seems really slow...and the orchestrations sound clearly more minimal.

But the energy seems high, IMO.


And also, I am obsessed with the fact that they didn't have a girl to wear the 'S' in E-L-L-E W-O-O-D-S so they last girl has a purse with S on it...haha!

I think it makes the show look less obnoxious and "showy." It doesn't look like anyone is "performing" which is a good thing. Looking back at the broadway video it just seems like they're trying so hard to sell it... This didn't bother me that much.

Becky sounds lifeless and thats the 2nd time ive heard her sing that song, i just dont think she has the whole Elle thing going on.

The tempo does need lifting a bit but the orchestrations sound fine, they were always going to sound a bit different since the orchestra is less

I'm a huge Becky fan but she doesn't sound the best there, the whole video sounds off, really bad sound quality...

This is in no way representative of the quality of the tour. Becky sings this much fast and much more on tempo. The energy of the Broadway show is totally still there.

I have no clue why they chose to slow the song down, but it's still sung at it's original tempo.
