Wow, REALLY curious as to how they're going to do OMGYG without all the set changes and stuff! Damn my nine-to-five job for not having TVs in the office. I hope the clips end up online soon....

good GOD I haven't seen anything of Legally Blonde yet but I just caught the spot on the View and I was VERY dissapointed! I'm all for entertaining fluff but this wasn't even GOOD fluff! Perhaps it just didn't translate well to T.V.....but it definitely didn't sell me on the show!

I thought Blonde was only a mediocore show to begin with - but that performance didn't do it justice in the least! If I hadn't already seen it, I sure wouldn't plan to see it based on that snipet. Wow!

Whoopi Goldberg introduced "Omigod" number while holding a PLAYBILL !! YES !!!
I guess, they got my e-mail , huh? I was about to call them, if they did not hold a Playbill , but they did !! Thank god !
I agreed with everyone- its awful!- it did not translate very well on TV without the staging (Sorority House/ Mall Scene/Elevator Stage) .. They started the song with..."Bruiser, where's Elle?" .... its just horrendous !
and They gave everyone tickets to the show ! Finally they did not let Elizabeth ( z or s?- whatever) introduce a Broadway show !!!!

umm was it just me...or did it look very obvious they were all lip-syncing! This should have been sung live...this is not the Macy's Day Parade! if you dont think so, watch it back and you will see it.

They did not captured the essence of that number which is the staging. The cast should have performed another number like "Bend & Snap" or " What You Want" (the harvard admission number- ? ) -j*

i actually thought it came across better on TV than it did in the show. but maybe because it didn't start off like i knew it would so i kept watching more than i did in the show, trying to see how it'd all come out

I'm suprised! I thought it came across really well, though where it started was a little awkward. Of course it'll be better with the set and all the atmosphere of actually being in the theater, but whatever i smiled and the audience cheered pretty loudly when thy heard they got tickets, louder than i've heard when they've gotten tickets for other shows.

I think that "Ohmigod" & "So Much Better" are numbers that are better shown with
the staging. Jerry Mitchell did an excellent job with these two numbers, it just does not work on TV alone . Its like seeing "Chicago" Revival wthout Ann Reinking's chreography. I said earlier the other numbers might have work better on TV. Poor Legally Blonde Cast ! They deserve better than this - I am sure they work hard for that number, but its just plain bland... as in "Legally Bland"
If I a "regular" joe viewer -- I probably wont see the show by basing it on that number from "The View", I'll be like ...WTF is that ? - is like a bad high school production of "the Best Whore House in Texas" -j*

I really liked it. I thought all the little things they did with the mirror and the pink curtain were nice little touches to sort of hint to the wonderful and fast scene shifts in the actual show. Laura was great. The girls were fun. It was a fun performance.

I watched it again. Its still awful ! I must agree with citiboy79- its LIVE !!! The mirror & the curtains-please , that's so cheesy ! - it reminds me that "awful staging" of the touring "The Confession of a Mormon Boy" here at BCA Box Theater in Boston (Horrible Play at a horrible theater- its a basement ! )

They did what they could with the song. The show involves huges set pieces that were not going to be brought to the studio. I loved it and seeing Kritzer in the a.m. made me happy.

It just looked so amateur-ish. A clump of girls running and huddling around each other !! Could'nt they have cheated and make it look like professional Broadway staging? Even for just this TV show?!!
