My first instinct was Legally Blonde...but admittedly only because I myself haven't seen it and would like to, whereas I've seen (and yes, loved) Les Miz numerous times. So clearly if my rationale is based on
not having seen a show, I probably shouldn't be recommending it, should I?
So I agree with those here who say go with Les Miz if you've never seen it. It's not a perfect show and this isn't the perfect cast (though I think they're fine), and certainly it's less "fun" than Legally Blonde...but like it or not, by now Les Miz is a true part of the musical theatre canon. You kind of can't go through life not being familiar with it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
