#1Legally Blonde or The Little Mermaid?
Posted: 9/25/08 at 10:13amI bought tickets for tonight to Legally Blonde through TDF earlier this week , and yesterday without thinking I got comps for The Little Mermaid without realizing they were for tonight, so for those of you who have seen both which should I go for? I am leaning towards The Little Mermaid b/c the tickets were free and worse case scenario i could probably buy tix to Legally Blonde on TDF again but now that it is closing it may be risky. Any thoughts?

Legally Blonde. The Little Mermaid tickets were free, so you're not losing any money, and it's going to be around longer than Blonde. ^_^

I say: Go to "The Little Mermaid" because you're not gonna get comps so easily again.
"Legally Blonde" will be on TDF and papering sites for the remainder of its run.

Go see Mermaid. Comps for Disney are rare.
It's nowhere near a perfect show but the acting and music are great.

Posted: 9/25/08 at 11:22amGo see Legally Blonde. It's the lesser of evils. The Little Mermaid isn't a train wreck...it's Chernobyl. It makes Carrie look like Gypsy.

Hmmm....as others have stated TLM will be around longer than LB but your chances of getting free tickets again are fairly slim.
I don't think TLM is a "train wreck" while I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would I certainly didn't hate it. Some of the musical numbers are beautifully done. I thought that "One Step Closer" is a lovely number reminiscent of Marge/Gower or Fred/Ginger. The type of number you just don't see on Broadway anymore. The same with "Positoovity" - a rousing group tap number that could have been plucked straight from Broadway's golden age.

Posted: 9/25/08 at 1:06pmThanks to everyone who gave their advice!! I actually decided to stick with the original plan and go see Legally Blonde! I decided to do a good deed and give the Little Mermaid tickets to a friend so that he can take his ten year old niece!

LEGALLY BLONDE.
It's a much better show altogether. THE LITTLE MERMAID should be around long enough for you to get comps again (the winter should be slow).
