"Ha, the Jersey Boys fans laugh at them."
Yes. I got up at 5:30 to get ready to be at JB by 6.

The only way for me to be guaranteed tickets is to take the 11pm bus to NY, get there at 1:30/2am. Walk to the theater, 3am. Sleep. Get tickets.
Because the earliest bus is 7pm, so by the time I get to the theater, all the tickets will be gone.
im going to rush legally blonde this wednesday and try to get tix to the matinee. Do you think I'll be good if I get there around 8 or should I aim for earlier? Thanks.
How has rush been lately? Do you still have to get there at like 8am for a Sunday matinee or has it gotten less crazy?
You LB people ain't seen nothin' yet. Try getting to a rush line at 4:30 AM.
JB love all the way :).
well,
i rushed for LB two weeks ago sunday
i went there at 10:30... there were 25 people in front of me
but i still got my ticket. dead center front row
ouch i warn you the Palace's stage is high and your neck is going to hurt afterwards from looking up too much
What is with the Wedding Singer/High Fidelity bashing? I guess I was one of the "crazies" who was constantly either rushing/buying tickets to both of these but just because I liked both of them doesn't mean I am going to substitute it with Legally Blonde. LB is a good show, but I had much more fun at Wedding Singer and High Fidelity. Just throwing that in there :)

Rushed two Sundays ago, we were there about 7:30am and were 5th and 6th in line. You may be able to get there a little later than that if you want matinee as, in my experience, most of the rush line on the weekend wants evening.
However, this being a holiday weekend and all, all bets are pretty much off.
I just noticed on Playbill's website that it says "student ID's checked at the time of purchase and when you enter the theatre." My question is, can I purchase a rush ticket for my Mom to go to the show with me? (obviously I have a student ID and she doesn't). Is this allowed?
when does the box office open? does a middle-schooler qualify for "student-rush" and how has the rush been LATELY, now that it's officially opened.
They do not check IDs at the door, you can bring a non-student. A middle-schooler does qualify as a student so long as you have a school student ID. The rush is the same, get there around 7 to guarantee seats, you would still get showing up at 8, or at 10 on a Sunday.

How much do student rush tickets cost? And from what I've read of this thread it's possible to get evening tickets early correct? Since my past experience with student rush was that you had to be there atleast 2hrs before the performance. Any help would be appreciated!
I believe LB is $26.50

Last Saturday, I got to Legally Blonde at 10 AM. There was a long line ahead of me- maybe 30 people. And I got 2 front row seats for the matinee. Don't know if that's unusual or not.
I'm planning to go on a Saturday at about 7 am to get tickets for the matinee. What do you think are my chances?
Probably pretty good, Millie. You might not be first, but you'll get tickets.
Actually I'll be there around 6:50ish...my train would get in around 6:40.
Now all I gotta do is wake up early enough to catch the train! If not, I'll go Sunday.
are all rush tickets for blonde in the front row?
The 1st two rows (the first row is only eight seats), and then apparently after they sell those sometimes they sell the orch side boxes (are those technically considered boxes? It's an elevated section, but not really a box) as rush tix too- I've never sat there, but I know rushees who have at times.
The first row is more than 8 rows.

The first row is eight seats. It only goes AA 101, 103, 105, 107 on the left, and the first four on the aisle on the right.
The map may say otherwise, but as someone who has sat in rush seats three times now I would take my word for it, in my opinion.
Weird, every seating chart I'm finding says otherwise.
