I was so looking forward to finally seeing the show, but when Darren was announced, I lost all interest, but now that Lena is joining, I will just have to see it! Definetly as Hedwig and maybe I could bear watching Criss if I got to see her Yitzhak.

It will be interesting to see Darren with Lena. I loved his relationship with Rebecca, but Lena is such a powerhouse in the role that it will elevate his performance even more.
I'm booking a flight.

PLEEEASE do NOT refer to our fine city as "San Fran." It's almost as grating as hearing "Frisco!"
I never call NY "The Big Apple" [and would never call SF "The City" while in NY - the ultimate "The City"] nor call Boston, "Beantown."
San Francisco, SF, The City, even Bagdad-by-the-Bay - all OK.
Back to this great news! (Saw NPH and have season tix for Darren and will get additional single tix for Lena's lead turn on week 3)

Just grabbed the last 2 (singles) seats in the AA,BB pit area for her final SF performance as Hedwig on Wed Oct 26th at 8 PM. I guarantee fierceness! Lots of other seats available.
(I'm a fan, not a shill)

I am curious as to how they'll costume Lena for Wicked Little Town (Reprise)/Midnight Radio. Will she be topless, or will they tape her breasts down and have her wear a shirt?

Sheedy wasn't topless, but I think everyone from Hedwig collectively tried to forget her.

Sounds like Shannon Conley will be the Yitzhak understudy on tour and will play Yitz when Lena plays Hedwig. Great news!

At the least there is going to be a stark contrast in the Hedwig's vocal performance, Lena and Darren is like comparing a Porsche to a go kart, Lena is simply amazing. Can't wait to see her.

She looks great. I pray she'll do this on the east coast as well.

I thought Lena and Darren were only doing the west coast cities.

Lena really does seem like one of those versatile few (performers who can play musical roles of all different types with all different kinds of vocal requirements, and do it amazingly well!) Thought she was a standout in KB (even if her part was technically considered supporting, performers of her caliber make you forget that during their time on a stage! And that she's achieved this awesome level of success since then (lead roles, praises from critics for her versatility) is great!

Anyone going to the first performance today? I would love to hear about changes to the script for the tour and how everyone did!
