Les mis Cast changes

Posted: 2/21/07 at 12:10amAC126748, Yes! I would be very, very happy to see Steven Paquale as Javert or Enjolras (or in any show for that matter). While Drew was excellent as Grantaire I saw him cover for Lazar and there is just no comparrison.

Posted: 2/21/07 at 12:14amI also agree that I would love to see Steven Pasquale as one of the roles!

Posted: 2/21/07 at 8:41amIf Lewis left, the only replacement of him should be James Barbour.
#34re: Les mis Cast changes
Posted: 2/21/07 at 8:46ami'm gonna chime in and say Drew should be bumped up. i LOVE him :)

Drew for Enjolras hands down.
There are a few guys I'd like to see tackle Javert, but I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Posted: 2/21/07 at 10:47amI saw Barbour in Camelot. I don't think he's right for Javert. Sure he has the physically imposing presence, but he seems too much of the dark, brooding, romantic type to play a character whose only love is the law. Also if Lancelot is any indication, I’m not sure he has the acting chops either.

Didn't James Barbour actually audition for Enjolras several years ago, but told them they should consider him for Javert? I guess that went well.

Posted: 2/21/07 at 2:51pmi hope they bump drew up. it'll still mean finding u/s replacements for both enjolras AND javert (since I don't think they're going to bump robert up)...

Posted: 2/21/07 at 3:59pmBarbour should have tried sending postcards that read "I want to play Javert".

Posted: 2/22/07 at 7:26amYAY! Drew 4 Enjolras! That guy has been so vastly overlooked by the Les Miz casting people! I like the JLM idea for Javert mentioned earlier. Rebuilds the Rent cast member as a principle in Les Mis integrity. Not to mention, Jesse sounds and looks a lot like Norm.

I beg to differ! The fact that they cast him at all is already saying a lot. He's not the normal Les Miz type, which is an understatement.

Posted: 2/23/07 at 1:35amWell, anyway, there will be no Aaron replacement seeing as how he is not leaving anytime soon. I saw Les mis this evening and asked Aaron about his departure and as per the man himself, it's a false rumor. Aaron, for the time being, will still be Enjolras.

Posted: 2/23/07 at 2:59amOh really?! That makes me so happy, because I have tickets for July 18th, and I was really impressed when I saw the video! So excited!

Posted: 2/24/07 at 1:42amAnyone know if Adam Jacobs is staying as Marius? He seems to really fit the part.
#48re: Les mis Cast changes
Posted: 2/24/07 at 11:49amI dont know about Adam. He is a very good Marius. As far as Javert goes, im very sad that Norm is leaving. He was so good but congrats to him for Mermaid. JLM would be great for the role...we'll seee what happens. And for Enjolras, Drew NEEDS to be bumped up. Aaron was great but when he leaves Drew deserves to get the role. He is an amazing understudy and an amazing Grantaire.

I wonder why I got the Agent submission for Enjorlas if he is staying with the show. I know it was in there and I know people that were submitted for it. I will find out if anyone got an apointment.
UPDATE:
I checked my downloaded files. On February 19th An agent submission was sent out for Javert, Enjorlas, and Gavroche. The audition day is listed as this monday, and the first rehearsal is listed as April 07.
I wonder what is going on. Maybe there was some re-negotiating of this contract going on and they have settled it now. Or they could be looking for a cover, but that is always listed in the breakdown.
Anyway, I knew I wasn't mistaken.
