Don't let this person put you on the defensive. He/she has yet to give us any of his/her credentials that entitle him/her to this nasty, superior attitude.

Jennifer Hudson singing "Easy to Be Hard" on the Hair CD is Jennifer attempting to imitate Jennifer Holliday doing "And I Telling You".
I feel like her riffs don't come from any place.
They are ALL recreations of Holliday's AIATY inflections, growls, glissandos, and the like.
A little disappointed in this casting..

Ugh! of all the dreck. u obviously need to re read as well. never did i say race was a credential. "credintials?? who's talking about credintials.
You gotta love white folks telling black folks about black gospel music." notice.. never did i say race was a credential.
the race card?... well as much as u dont like it.. this is america and race is and will always be a factor. thats LIFE. and its ironic that very same issue is a theme in the very show that started this thread! how intersting.

uh . . . yeah you did. I think YOU need to re-read what you said.
"You gotta love white folks telling black folks about black gospel music.."
You are saying that to have any say in whether or not a black singer is screeching or growling, you need to be black.

Rath is right, dont bother engaging.
Every discussion ends up with potty mouthed comments.

BTW, Whateverman, what happened to Monica Michelle Sims? You announced that SHE was cast as Effie...you were so proud of her.
And who could forget your announcement that Whitney "cracky" Houston was going to be in The Wiz.
