Apparently Roundabout is pulling that thing where your phone has to stay locked in one of those Yondr devices with their off Broadway show, Liberation. Anyone know why?

If for nothing else, to make sure the audience isn't on their phones. "Pulling that thing" as if it's really putting you out to not look at your phone for 2 hours. Wish all shows did it tbh.

Sweetie, I sometimes go 24 hours or more without looking at my phone. Whether or not you wish all shows do it is irrelevant. They do not all do it. This one is doing it. My question was why for this show specifically. You don’t know, but thanks for the boring but predictable load of snark.
From their site : Please be advised: This production contains adult language, nudity, brief references to abuse/assault, in addition to the use of herbal cigarettes and haze effects.
Their website says there is nudity in the show so I presume that is the reason. Most shows with nudity lock up phones to protect actors. Someone always seems to sneak a picture or video and post it but I imagine it would be waaaaaay worse without the lockups.
