I think she's fine.
Anyways, just curious, does anyone know how old Aaron is?

Well no need to be snippy. People are entitled to their opinions and its only natural that people are going to compare to Kelli as she was the original. I am not, nor anyone else in this thread have claimed to be able t o pull anything like this off so thats not an issue. As for the national TV thing goes, that isnt an excuse for a performer to perform differently or poorly or whatever. If you are so bothered by people's comments on here about Katie or Kelli or anyone then dont read them

Aaron is 30? He graduated from my high school in 1994, so that would make him about 30.

[I am just doing this because I am bored]
Well, since she SANG BADLY in the first half hour, what else were we to do...lol. Sorry, for me, who is NOT a huge fan of the show, the only thing I DID loved, was the beautiful voice of O'hara through some of those songs and I feel dissapointed. Also, I performed Clara on national TV last year and I hit every note. :)

Again, has anyone said they could do it? And I've seen the show with Katie in it and unfortunately can tell in the first half hour that she isnt performing as well as she has in the past. I dont need to watch the whole show to make note of that.
I actually like Katie, I just dont feel like she is at her best so far tonight.

Stage performances, no matter how good they are live in a theatre, don't always translate well to television.

She is getting better. It seems.
I agree with Lizzie,

A friend of mine knew Katie at Sam Houston. I'm looking forward to seeing her. :)
Also, I performed Clara on national TV last year and I hit every note. :)

While vocally perhaps O'Hara is more "legit" that Clarke, she acted the HELL out of that role and I found her being closer to Clara's actual age added to the character's innocence, vulnerability and, obviously, youthfulness and I though that, overall, the part translated much better and more realistically as portrayed by Clarke; the whole package just made more sense.

If that was supposed to be witty/funny you failed miserably.

I'm multi tasking.
Watching TV, typing, sipping a soda and critisizing Katie's performance.

I'm glad none of the TVs in my house are near the computer (and no, I don't have a laptop.)

Thanks for having my back Wickedhead.
I saw this in New York and I was confused. While seeing it a 2nd time clears a lot of up, I still find it a bit underwhelming. I do love the music though.
