I forgot about Hamburger Mary's. I remember when I saw Hairspray in January, they were doing a concert somewhere downtown after the show, but as it was right in the middle of our month of weekend blizzards, I couldn't stay.
And I don't live downtown, but I am downtown-adjacent. :)

I love this cast, epescially Norm Lewis. I hope it doesn't turn out to be crap like Tarzan.

I love the cast of the little mermaid and they look amazing, they will all do well.
Sierra seems young which is always a plus and seems to be a great fan of the movie and also her co star sherie.
I love the flounders cody and jj, they both will do fabolous...they both seem to get along with. They will alternate shows. I dont care which one i see.
I am excited to see this.

Sierra seems so YOUNG! Her photos make her look like she's in her twenties, but that video? She looked/acted like a 16 year old. Perfect for Ariel. I can't wait to see the show!

i totally agree. she looks about 16 or 17, and acts like it too. Whenever Ive seen pictures of her she looked so much older! Well the personality we all saw on the video is MUCH more Ariel. Im glad shes a kid inside! Its perfect for the part. It sounds like everyone is really excited!

i.heart.link, I believe Flounder is going to be played by two actors just like Chip in "Beauty and the Beast", Young Tarzan in "Tarzan", and Simba/Nala & Jane/Michael. Each will do 4 shows a week, but they will both be at every performance just in case.

I am so with Sierra regarding her love of the beginning of the movie - when the "Little Mermaid" logo comes up and the music starts..

yeah. cody and jj as flounder will spilt the shows every week. Flounder is an alternating role but they both have to be there every show. Like if cody is performing that night jj has to be there in case cody doesnt feel well or something.
by the way cody just did like an indepedant film called hounddog with dakota fanning. jj just ended his run as young simba on broadway a few months ago. JJ is happy to stay with a disney production.

Yankees, do you realize your basically taking things that have already been said posts above you and just making them incomprehensible? It's ridiculous.
Anyways, I'm on the fence about the majority of the cast. Granted, they're all (arguably)talented but I can't picture them on one stage together. I don't know.

I saw Boggess play Maria in West Side Story, and she played much older in that show. Maybe she was just putting something older on (that was a little inappropriate) for that show, or maybe she's putting something younger on for Ariel. We'll see.

I really wish that Norm Lewis was not in this show. His terrible vocal stylings destroyed Les Miz. Seriously, he scooped everywhere, breathed everywhere - I did not understand a syllabe this man said/sang. "Stars" was dreadful He did not act once...it was like a skinny Bernie Mac was playing Javert. I had no clue what he said? Boo! The rest of the cast seems great. I hope Sierra can pull it together...she seemed like more of an idot than Kristen Chenoweth at the Drama Desks!

Thanks for posting this! Even though he has the smallest part in the show (unless they bumped it up from the movie) i'm most excited about Jonathan Freeman.
