Little Mermaid Companion Book

Does anyone know if a Companion/Coffee Table book is going to be published for "The Little Mermaid"? I know that every other Disney produced show has had one, so I was wondering.

yes I believe so, I wrote to the publishers a few months ago telling them how much Ive loved everyone of their companion books and they wrote back saying that there will be one for The Little Mermaid. They said it was tentatively titled- "The Little Mermaid:Story of a Tale"

The Story of a Tale? Aren't those the same things? Maybe The Story of a TAIL?

yeah I know thats what I thought but the person wrote -the story of a tale, it could be a typo.

I think they meant to type "Story of a Tail." A somewhat witty play on words that relatively makes a bit of sense.

Yes, but they're trying to play on "tale" with "tail"...and story and tale basically mean the same thing.

I would just like to point out that Beauty and the Beast did not get a companion book. Just a few pages in the Disney on Broadway book with pictures from the souvenier brochure.

Beauty did get a companion book like Lion King. It was released in 1995 and is by Don Frantz.

Also, the Little Mermaid companion book is not called "Story of a Tale/Tail"...

"The Little Mermaid: From the Deep Blue Sea to the Great White Way" by Michael Lassell

It will be released on September 16th, 2008.

Thanks for pointing that out Jacob. I have all the Disney on Broadway books and wasn't aware that there was ever one made for Beauty and the Beast.

I had that "Beauty and the Beast" book. Then they had a combo book with Beauty, Lion King, and I think Aida.

It's a such a bad show, you'd think Disney wouldn't want this book to be published...there's nothing positive about the development or opening of this show.

I want this book really badly
