What time do you think I should there on Sunday for 3 pm show?
12 if you want definite best rush seats. 1:30-2 if you don't care.
Earlier is better, but regardless you should get decent seats. I went to the theater around 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and got front mezzanine on the right. In a smaller theater it probably would have been a lousy seat, but it was really a perfect seat; I could see everything I needed to see.
A. What do they cost?
B. When does Heidi start? I heard she was at the theater observing yesterday.
C. So excited.
A. The student rush tickets are $30 but are well worth it.
B. Last I heard, she was starting on the 27th of January
C. It was a really great show, so yay for the excitement!

And it's one per ID correct? I'm coming to the city next week with my dad and would love to see this with Heidi.
I went a half hour before show about 6 months ago and got about 15th row, center orchestra.
It was a great seat, aside from the mistake of going to a matinee--DON'T DO IT for Disney shows, because kids are screaming and kicking, babies are crying, and their parents don't know enough about theater etiquette to discipline their children.
I rushed and got front row. It was an awful seat - too close. I don't know if they still give out front row, but if they do, don't be first in line.
I got last row orchestra when I rushed this summer. Hit the box office at 12:30ish for a Friday evening show.
Decent seats, but so many *very* small children! I love introducing kids to Broadway, but I wouldn't even think of taking them before they were five (and only if they are a well behaved five). Poor kids can't see even with the child booster-thingies they gave out at the show.
I read on playbill.com rush policies that Mermaid rush is only for those with college ID? I know they used to accept high school ID too. Does anybody know what the truth is? Will they accept both?
When I asked at the box office how much for rush, the man said "$30 with a college ID only." So I'm assuming he meant it. Meaning no high school IDs accepted. But maybe some of the box office people are lenient.

Seems stupid not to accept high school IDs given that they are students as well, and probably not rolling in the dough either.

I think, unfortunately, that they really only take college IDs and are very strict about it. When I was there yesterday with a group, the box office guy was really looking at our IDs, examining their expiration dates, etc. I agree that it seems unfair not to accept high school IDs, but it seems like that's how it is for TLM.

im coming over in april from the uk
and we dont usually get 'college id cards'
do you think a british passport of somehting would work or...?

Probably not.
Regarding expiration, do you think they would take an id during the summer that had a spring sticker? This would be the case for most students who don't do summer school.

My ID doesn't have an expiration date, and they still took it. I've never had a problem with it.
(And why does Sebastian enter like that? Is there some reason why they couldn't use a trap door elsewhere on the stage?)
I got there about 30 seconds before the box office opened and was given row E center (today).
They are very strict about it being college IDs only, but they don't seem to bother about dates. My school no longer gives out stickers at the beginning of the semester so my ID still says Fall 2008, but they didn't seem to care.
dancingthrulife04, that's what happened to me yesterday!
Bumping to see if anyone has rushed lately? Thinking of doing it next week. Seems they give out a range of seats in the past...just curious. Thanks!!
Do they still do rush? And how many tickets do they give out? I'd love to see Faith Prince as Ursual in August and wouldnt mind rushing.
anyone know if/when/who will be the new Ursula?

I rushed it last Wednesday around noon for the matinee and got a seat in the left box.

are the rush seats scattered all over the theater or are there certain seats set aside for it?
Me and two of my friends want to attempt to rush tomorrow... Friday evening show. For anybody who's rushed, what time do you think we should get there? I won't be able to meet them till mid-afternoon, and don't want to bother running over there if I won't be able to get tickets. We were thinking of trying TKTS but I don't know if that's really worth it either...
I'm pretty sure they only have rush for weekday performances. That used to be the case, I don't know if it still is because they're not selling as well as they used too.
