Terribly disappointing that they cut ALL GOOD THINGS MUST END...but it looks like Urusla has more to sing now, anyway, so that's great!
I had a feeling POOR UNFORTUNATE SOULS would end Act I.
Can't wait for it to come to NY!
No!!!!!!!! That's my favorite song... :'-(

Who was your flounder? How was he?
TELL US MORE ABOUT TITUSS BURGESS PLEASE!!!!
Ursula singing Her Voice... Interesting...
I'm sad they cut All Good Things...., but grateful they cut "Wasting Away". This seems to have an ever-evolving song list (compare the demo, to the workshop score, to the denver post article, etc.) Very interesting.
I need to get up to NY over Christmas Break and see this!
In Act One, is there the part like in the movie where Ariel and Flounder are at the sunken ship, they find the fork and then the shark comes along?

Finally saw the backstage pics. I must have one of these!! lol.

I really hope during the run they change act II so that they have it more like the movie and have "all good things must end" as the song when Ursula is human and singing in the wedding ship...I really am not liking the idea of the contest thing, my mom said it sounds too Cinderella....and I want a GIANT Ursula at the end!

oh my gosh! When I was like 6, I had a Little Mermaid Raincoat that was exactly that color, and had the characters on the sides. I want one of those robes, too!
Where can I get a copy of the demo?
Thanks for the reviews guys, i also agree that" All good things must end" should be put back into the show. It was one of the best songs on the demo.

Google Little Mermaid Demo--it's still VERY easy to find on a few sites
I'm REALLy glad Wasting Away is gone--it was a cute song but felt SOO wrong for the character to me. Still nto fond of Scuttle's songs but...

Any chance that they'll change the poster/title design?
I just don't like it. The muted blue-green color and the very undetailed sillhouette of Ariel...it's all really primitive and boring to me. They could have used that similar image and made it a little more, I don't know, dynamic.
That being said, I'm really excited from all the positive reviews. It sounds like they're on a really good track.
I actually like the design a lot.
I think the poster for the show is a wee bit on the boring size, perhaps a little re-design and it could be fab
I liked the song Wasting Away, but it felt rather out of place for the Ursula character. She's supposed to be this wicked, sly diva; not a person who would sing about being unconsious on the bathroom floor :-X I kind of wished they would of added Silence is Golden to the show though; I know it's out of place with Poor Unfortunate Souls but I still like it.
Ugh, I can't believe they cut TWO of Ursula's songs. That's the whole reason I loved her so much- she has the BEST songs. I hope they change Act II and bring back "All good things must end."
^To be fair one of the cut ones was replaced by a song that it sounds like is probably better.

The thing that irks me about the poster is it's SOO similar tot he '89 pre release movie poster but not quite as good (IMHO)

IT'S LIKE ITS THE SAME PICTURE!
ETA: This humor has an exparation date. i.e., whenever Eric realizes his mistake.
Yes, but that's even better!
I just hate that weird seafoam color on it. It's just so...bleh
Really dumb question but how did they pull off Ariel "singing" when she had no voice? Did Sierra just sing anyway even though it was "her imagination" or was it a voice-over?

This one has better colour http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/The-Little-Mermaid-Poster-C10126469.jpeg
I agree it's better than the Broadway version (at least I think that's what you meant...)
I assume Ariel sings but we all know and realize that it's her thoughts, others can't hear her... Suspension of disbelief, theatre all that kinda crazy stuff :P

I hope I'm not asking for too much, but could somebody post a list of what instruments/how many players comprise the orchestra?
