No offense to Ms. Minnelli or any of her fans, but I think this is just a waste of theater space. I find her singing voice to be extremely irratating.

What was the point of putting that in a thread where you knew people would get excited about the possibility of her doing a show? To show that you were "cooler than us" with your "anti Liza' attitude?

Well, I'm a bit conflicted. On the one hand, it would be fabulous to see her in a Broadway show. She still has a lot to offer. If that does happen, perhaps she should focus on songs that don't require belting. When I saw her in concert in 2010, her "NY NY" was sort of excruciating. She was fine with the other songs, but not so much with her attempts at belting. I also wonder if she's healthy enough to undertake a strenuous Broadway run. She does seem to be prone to illness. Just saying... from RC in Austin, Texas
