Well, THAT'S an unfortunate word-choice.

Whitney Houston used to use "dehydration" as a euphemism for "all cracked out."

"That blows for the line of people waiting. I walked by around 4-ish and there were a handful of people sitting in the lobby waiting for rush tickets, I guess. So she did the matinee? Well, at least she only called out one show."

There is no matinee Wednesday. She already only does five shows weekly. At least she made it through a full cycle of five shows before she missed one, so I guess that's something.

And I was one of those people waiting when you came by. I think they could have made the announcement earlier: shortly after I got there at 2:30, a guy came in to exchange his tickets because his booking agent had sent him an official notification that the performance was canceled because Liza couldn't go on, but the guy at the ticket window said that wasn't true and wouldn't let him exchange. It wasn't until around 5:30 that they told us there was no show because "Liza is sick" and please get out of the lobby unless you're buying tickets.

And B3, in my opinion, for the past year, the Guys and Dolls revival has been getting gradually less interesting and appealing with each new press release.

Cher cancelled more than half of her recent run in Vegas of her 80 minute show ( 50 of which she actually performs). Janet Jackson also cancelled her recent tour a lot, Elton John also cancels frequently, Madonna has cancelled, and even the divine Miss M has had to cancel twice recently. People get sick.

The fact that Cher and Janet Jackson canceled so much makes it okay?? Makes it par for the course?

I'm adding my vote to the funniest line of the year award.

Not joking here: if you've seen the way she sweats in this show, you'll agree that dehydration is a distinct possibility.

The message from Liza's website is not "odd." It is directed toward her fans, who worry about her well-being, and I'm fairly certain they felt the need to stress that she is fine because of people like some of the posters on this board, who see that she has canceled and automatically deem her drunk, "cracked out," washed up, etc. People get sick. Stuff happens. It just almost always seems to happen to Liza, and people hold it against her.

Also, it really bothered me that the headline on this very website had the word "dehydrated" in "quotes" as though allegedly she is sick. Ugh.
