I haven't been there since mid-August. Too many new shows opening that I have to see.

How they all manage to remember me I'll never know.

Wedding Singer = Crack

it's the truth. I had gone three weeks since I last saw it, and I can't imagine how I looked to those sitting next to me, but I honestly had the biggest grin on my face the entire show. LOL

oh they are beyond incredible. such an amazing cast! it was funny cause you heard them singing Happy Birthday to Christina, and the audience started to applaude when they finished. Then at stagedoor we were talking to Christina and we told her how you heard them singing Happy Birthday to her and she laughed and she goes "yeaah we heard everyone clapping!"

this was my first time seeing Laura. I honestly don't know if it was because I was SO sure I was going to hate her or what but I actually enjoyed her. She does some cute things Tina didn't but then she doesn't do many of the cute things Tina did. But she didn't ruin the show and was convincing as Julia. So that makes me happy!

I actually (this may have even shocked my friend when I told her) prefer her in one scene over Tina. It is a small scene, just three words... but the scene on Rosies porch, where Julia throws the blank sheet music at Robbie and says "you're an asshole!". I like Lauras timing on it better than Tina. I always felt like Tina was forgetting to say it. Blah I dunno whats wrong with me but yeah.

and i felt like an idiot sat cause i deff sat there with a huge grin on my face the entire time, but i LOVED it!!!! lol.

and i love how they sang happy bday to christina, thats soo cute!!! BEST CAST EVER!!!!!!!

im happy i liked laura. i was worried i wouldnt, its definatly a different julia, but a believable one.

and christina was saying they suually do cakes backstage, but something happened with her cake and they had to do it on the stage. so cute! awwww!! (sadly i am smiling now thinking about it all lol(

Haha that was definitely me on Saturday with a huge smile plastered on my face the entire time, my face literally hurt afterward!!! But that cast loves it, really they do. That was the first time I had seen the show by myself so it was just such a thrill and so much fun I couldn't help but have that huge smile on my face! And I was told after the show by a cast member that they have never seen me look so happy and it was hard to not keep their eyes on me because I was so into that day. I love them, I really do.

I love when they sing Happy Birthday and you can hear it from the audience, priceless. I think it was Sunday, yes Sunday, they were singing Happy Birthday to someone before the show but I don't know whose birthday it was BOO! I was there on Nicolette's birthday, don't remember when it was though, sometime in July I think and she came out the stagedoor holding the top of her cake, how they do the edible headshot thing. She was funny. "What the hell am I supposed to do with this?!?!" HAAAA!

P.S. YAY I'm a chorus member re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

Haha niiiiiiiiice!!! I'm so used to being referred to as 'the redhead' it's crazy. Except hey it gives me a way to be known! If I decided to write a letter to the cast I could totally write that I'm the redhead and they would all know EXACTLY who I was, lolz! And I even heard firsthand on Sunday that the cast does indeed sit backstage and talk about who is in the audience. I mean it's nice to think that they know who you are and they talk about you but hearing that they actually do from a cast member sit backstage and say "Oh Jeni's here today" really makes you feel special.

I enjoy taking my friends who are WS virgins to the show, they make it so much fun too! My friend fell in love with Kern on Friday night, and she had soooooooo much fun during the show! She even said to Cara after the show "You know I thought Jeni was totally crazy but now that I've seen the show I completely understand why she comes back all the time!" That was cool. Because you never really know if someone else is gonna like it as much as you do, but my friend LOVED it and she wants me to make her a copy of the CD and she wants to go back with me and see it again! And not only did she love the show but it was her first time stagedooring and she loved that as well, meeting all the people. She's gonna go with me to Philly too to go see 42nd Street she loved Cara so much. It was just amazing, she made me so happy!!! And she told me on Tuesday she got so excited because one of her professors on Monday asked if anybody did anything exciting over the weekend and she got to share her experience at Wedding Singer. I was like AWWWWW I'm soooooooo glad you loved it so much!!!

ill admit, the first time i saw laura in the show after she came back, and i wasnt to happy...she seemed to play julia too much like a bitch, and thats not really julia...but i went yesterday, matinee and evening, and im much happier with her now, shes more comfortable with the role again, having more fun with it....tina is still julia to me tho...i hope she gets a chance to be julia again soon..

I was sort of disappointed the first time I saw Laura after she got back, too. I had seen her before Tina, and I remembered her as being a lot better than what I saw last week - mainly vocally, but with some of her acting choices as well. I think she was just having an off night, though, because when I went again this week she'd improved a lot. It's still really interesting to me how differently she and Tina will play the same scene - the engagement scene in Pop, for example - and while most of the time I prefer the way Tina did it, I still enjoy Laura's performance too. Her little excited screech as Drunk Julia always cracks me up.

laura as drunk julia is always funny....i love that she goes "yayyyy" when robbie finds out she got engaged...thats the best part about tina and laura, they both have these great little mannerisms that they add to julia...like tina when glen is on the phone and tells her that hes going to the knicks game she puts the bouquet in the dumpster, and then takes it out when he says hell take her to il carousel...little things like that make a huge difference

I liked Laura and Tina both. They are very diferent in the part, but fantastic still. I really didn't picture Laura as Julia at first, but I was wrong. She's great.

Laura's drunk Julia is great, although I do like how Tina's drunk Julia got progressivly worse, and it was pretty hard to understand what she was saying sometimes. re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

Ok guys I am actually making it to NYC in February... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me Wedding Singer will still be playing then! I have been dying to see it, there isn't a song I hate... I am addicted! But I heard it may be closing before then please tell me it's not before I have a heart attack! My parents never let me go to NYC before and now I am and the show I want may not even be playing anymore... : (

"Constantine Maroulis, the “American Idol” finalist currently in The Wedding Singer, will enter the four-member cast after the first of the year, replacing Jim Stanek, who will play Paul in the Kennedy Center’s four-week revival of Carnival, which will start rehearsing Jan. 16."

Constantine is extending his run in TWS until 12/3. Looks like he is moving on after that.

Tickets for TWS are not available past January 7th.

Saturday Night In The City is one of my favorite scenes with Tina. I love it when she gets drunk. So funny!

vontusslegirl87: yeah I wouldn't get your hopes up too high re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread. I'm sorry. I wish it could still be playing in February but the chances are pretty slim. And like BlueforBroadway just said, they're not selling tix that late yet...I'm actually surprised they're selling through January.

dancingthrulife: I used to LOVE Tina's drunk but towards the end I don't know what happened, I started to not be as fond of it anymore. I do really love Laura's. Her laugh, wow that's just priceless and hilarious!!! "I'm not tipsy..I'm HAMMERED!!!" :-P

Haha yeah I know! I definitely miss Tina's little kick thing she did as her and Glen walked through a dance break in the middle of the stage. That was quite humorous.

Tina did so many different things each night. She made the show so fun and kept the rest of the cast on their toes because you never knew what she was going to do next!
