Has anyone had experienced the Barrymore stage door? Is it usually a mob scene?

It was very tame last night, but we did wait for about an hour. Alan doesn't take pictures,

Does Alan chat with fans at all or does he just try to book it out of there?

There's a good number of people but he took the time to chat with me about something I'd been really curious to ask him about for a long time. He doesn't scribble a line and not make eye contact so he can get out of there. He makes sure every person has everything they want signed before he leaves.

That's great to know, Jordan, thank you. I'm glad he's not another Matthew Broderick. x)

Unfortunately that wasn't the case when I was there. I guess it's different each night, but he just signed my Playbill, asked where I was from, and finished the whole stage door scene in under ten minutes.

Glinda, what were you expecting? He actually asked you a question and signed your Playbill. Jordan had a question for him so he talked longer. If you didn't have something specific to talk to him about, why would he linger?

My point was that he didn't really engage with people in the crowd. I don't know if anyone asked him any questions but he came out, announced no pictures, and got it all done quickly. I wasn't tryin to imply that I expected him to linger and converse with me, I was just sharing my experience.

10 minutes seems like more than enough time to me. Plus, he signed your playbill. What more do you want? He isn't under any obligation to come out and sign anything, much less talk to you. In fact, 10 minutes puts him at more than just about anyone I know of.

That said, if anyone is a Sigourney Weaver fan, sorry for the OT rant, but she is by far the friendliest and warmest person I have met at a stage door.
