Drowsy really came on later, more like 11:30, but don't quote me on that... Just when it's 11:15 and you haven't seen it, know that you haven't missed it.
I have to say, the JB performance looked familiar, like is it the same recording as last year? or from some other event? or just a serious case of deja-vu?
Overall, really unimpressed by CBS' coverage of the parade (where I'm at, I have to wait until the afternoon to see the official on NBC.) CBS was just down-right boring, even with NPH (we get it, you're cold); sort of like the parade was an after-thought to a 3 hour advertising opportunity for CBS. 1st time watching CBS' broadcast - also last time.
am I the only one who doesn't mind the bad lip syncing? it's not exactly a quality I look for in a Broadway performer. if they were all really good I'd be a little suspicious...
I noticed that....but I didn't want to complain...

TCP sang "Mysterious Ways", which is more of a group ensemble piece. i didn't recognize any of the leads onstage, the minister and a woman sang solos. (sorry I only saw TCP once and don't remember much about the details about it!)
Did anyone else think that that opening number with the little kids was horrid?

worrell4077, that was Dominic! I noticed it too, and called my friend who's a huge fan of his. I think that maybe they hired a bunch of actors just to kind of show an ensemble? I don't think that they've casted the ensemble of that show yet.
I'd be heartbroken if Dominic left Jersey Boys. He's an absolutely fantastic swing.
Yes, the Grinch number was hard to take. I hate the lip-synching---but the acoustics would be awful w/o them---no place for orchestration---that would have to be canned anyway probably. I also noticed (maybe it was my set) that the words coming from the parade hosts (especially CBS) were also not in synch---and those were LIVE!
How did the guy filling in for John Cullum lip-synch if they didn't record his voice?

I think Diana DeGarmo did a great job! Her voice was awesome and I don't think her dance routine was that bad nannerzs60! Don't know what you would expect from her especially with a Egyptian theme.

Ha, yeah. I was sitting on the couch with my brother, and I said, "that's Brian D'Arcy James - He's great!" And my brother asked: "which one?" I said, "The one with the bushy eyebrows."
And I don't know that CP song. I have the Cast Recording, but I never knew that was one of the songs.
otis33 - Was Bill Ryall in the San Diego production of The Grinch?

I was so happy when I saw Diana performing. I thought to myself, "Should I run downstairs and turn the TV on for my dad and tell him that that is the woman I am marrying?...no, he'd probably be a little weirded out by the costume." :-P
She's so fabulous. Why the hell hasn't she created her own role yet? I bet that right after Hairspray, she will definitely be in a new show. She totally deserves it!
