Posted: 11/23/06 at 11:27amI can't believe I missed The Color Purple! Who was on and what did they perform? What time was it on? I'm guessing it was around the same time that Jersey Boys were on CBS because I was watching them and they were fantastic.

Posted: 11/23/06 at 11:30amThey performed "Mysterious Ways." It was just the soloist, the preacher and the ensemble. No Celie, no Nettie, no Pa, no Mister. But the Church Ladies were there.

Has Julie Andrews been training to get her voice back?
I was surprised to see her.

Poor Johnny. They didn't even show him. All they did was mention he was on a float and say the title of his show wrong.

THEY JUST SANG A SONG FROM WHITE CHRITMAS w/ BRIAN D'ARCY JAMES!!!! Sorry...haha. It was great!
I didn't see Johnny T. but I heard Al ROker say "Here comes John Tartaglia. Star of Johnny and the SPIRITS" Oh...my...GOD! It's Johny and the SPRITS! NOT SPIRITS!

Yeah, that was annoying. "Johnny and the SPIRITS?" I wanted to see him too.

I taped only three performances, The Grinch which was so-so, SpamAlot which was alright, and in between Jersey Boys which was the best performance of the parade. I'm so happy they taped that when it wasn't raining.
Did anyone else notice this, but when Al was talking to the people from You're The One That We Want, I swear it was him. Right behind, Al was Dominic Nolfi. So, does this mean he's leaving Jersey Boys?

Damn it. My TiVo froze. So I saw absolutely NO Broadway shows. Do they repeat the parade?

Did everybody see Diana DeGarmo in full Egyptian costume doing really bad dance moves?
Her singing was out of this world, as always! I love this girl!

I think it's "live" on both NBC and CBS, but CBS isn't broadcasting from Herald Square. NBC is. So NBC has a "pre-parade" show while they wait for the parade to get to 34th Street.
Does that sound right?

Posted: 11/23/06 at 12:40pmDiana's dance moves weren't that bad; But she had some great facial expressions. Somebody should take a chance and give Diana a leading roll on Brodway.
