My thought exactly- just re-open the Gaiety.
Too bad they tore down the Gaiety Theater. It could have played there. :o)
Any word yet as to whether this movie actually has a story?

Nick. Adams.
Lol. It was probably his idea to begin with.

I think I'm more excited for the musical than I am for the movie! It MUST star Cheyenne Jackson. Also, what about Gavin Creel/Matt Cavenaugh (they look enough alike, either will do), and Aaron Tveit as the newcomer. And Will Swenson. Or Nick Adams. Pretty much anyone would do. I want to be involved with this show. :P
With Broadway Bares on the calendar every year, I'd say that... um... slot is filled.
Imagine their collections for BC/EFA.
No, really. Imagine it for a minute. I am.

Does it need one?
What about a theatrical mash-up?
Magic Mike and Into the Woods. A young stripper gets lost in the forest...
Milky White takes on an entirely new meaning.
^
I kinda thought Jordan would be the first to pipe in...
If it comes to Broadway, there is no guarantee that it will be a musical. So keep your Full Monty. This may be a straight* drama.

Strippers don't have to sing... It could be a non-musical... maybe...
Why not combine your ideas and just make a musical about the Gaiety?
Oh. Right...that would require an imagination that expands outside of TV and film. Can't have that on Broadway.
Was the Gaiety just a male cheesecake show, or was it a full-on sex-show or brothel? I've heard it mentioned so many times as a beloved place of ill repute, but what KIND it was is always left out.
Hell, if they can do "The Donkey Show," they can do "Gaiety."

At the Gaiety the dancers were nude and had erections onstage.
Btw...male cheesecake is called beefcake. Don't want you to embarrass yourself out there at the clubs.

The movie currently has a score of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes.
And all of the votes came from horny housewives!

NO NO NO NO!!!! STOP DESTROYING BROADWAY!!!!!
I actually think I'd prefer the Full Monty and that's saying a lot.
So, have you seen the movie that the further destruction of Broadway will be based on?
