Very curious about how the show will be received. Still thought the material itself was stronger in DC, but the show was tighter in NY. A few sections of the material for the Broadway production were better, though.
Very curious here too. I have a feeling it could fall in the realm of the Frozen reviews, but I could be wrong. Regardless, I think The Band’s Visit is the best new musical of the year HANDS DOWN.

I fully second this. I saw Band's Visit the other night and it was fantastic. I highly doubt anything else will beat it out for best musical. Certainly not this.

NJ.com is a negative -- "none of this really works."

Im expecting mixes for this one. Probably some praise for Tina's work and not much enthusiasm for the music. Not expecting any major praise for the actors either, but if anyone is too get I expect Barrett, Grey, Kerry and maybe Kate. The Bands Visit will for sure do well this tony season.
Yikes, not a great start for them. I expect the negative reviews to run through the night. No one I know really enjoyed the show, and those that did were pretty much clinging onto the happy memories they have with the movie. What a letdown...

There's still Summer, which opens April 23.

SUMMER opens April 23. But this is the last with a new score (and only the 4th new score of the season).

Chicago Tribune doesn't take a strong stance, but seems to be mixed with a positive edge.

1. Sorry, but it's *might've
2. How do you know this exactly?
We tried telling y'all in the previews thread. Reviews won't matter anyway. This will get at least a year run, and will literally run forever starting with a tour, then regional, then high school.

Mostly positive, but points out weak score and other issues.

Daily News also misspelled "Louderman," so I'll take them with a grain of salt.
