Has anyone been to rush the show lately? What are the odds of getting a ticket if the earliest I can go is around 5:00?
Thanks!

Posted: 5/6/11 at 2:14pmI went to the box office in the second week of previews or so and they had lots of rush tickets available. I don't know if this has changed since the reviews or not.

Posted: 5/6/11 at 4:25pmI rushed about a week after their opening, on a Sunday. Got there around 11am and was fifth in line (I later became eighth because the person in the front let their friends join them). Only about five other people showed up behind me before the box office opened at 12. They seemed to have plenty of tickets -- mine was front row, dead center (seat 108, I think). Great view.

Posted: 5/9/11 at 9:12pmIf I want to rush on a Thursday, do you think there is any need to be there before the box office opens, or if I get there around 10 or so should that be ok? Are the seats always in the front row? Thanks!

Ljay and I showed up at 11:48 on a Sunday recently, and we were the 2nd and 3rd people on line.
By 12, there was only one person behind us.

Posted: 5/9/11 at 9:44pmThe seats aren't always in the front row. I was there when the box office opened one day (maybe a couple of weeks after opening?) and ended up in the rear mezz, but the view was just fine from there.

Has anyone done the rush lately? What time would you recommend arriving at the theatre?
Thanks so much!

Posted: 7/11/11 at 10:25pmRushed two Wednesdays ago. Got there at 12:30 for a 2:00 performance. They had ample rush tickets available. I easily purchased one (rear orchestra, left of center), as did both people in front of me and the person behind me.

Hi there.
I'm visiting next week and the last time I was in NYC was 3 years ago. I have heard of "student rush" but am not a student. Can other people "rush," too?
What is the difference between "rush" and lotto.
And does anyone happen to know discount codes/sites for Hair, Anything Goes, Sister Act, MF w/Hat or Addams Family, by chance??
Thank you.

I would most be grateful to hear from anyone who rushed HAT this week or last (but not really for the Weds. mat., that's a special case!) Any tidbit as to how early you have to get there lately would be especially appreciated, and whether they've had rush for last night or tonight. Thank you.

I went both yesterday and today to try to rush the show, and yesterday, the box office person said they did not give out student tickets. Today, they gave them out, but people were apparently lining up at 8am. I tried to get standing room tickets for the matinee, but was the people before me got the last spots. The box office person was nice enough to sell me a standing room ticket for the evening performance right then and there. I went back to the box office later on, at around 7pm, and my friend was also able to get a standing ticket. If you can get to the box office early, then there may be a chance that you'll get a rush ticket. Otherwise, the standing room tickets were not terribly difficult to obtain.
Hope that helps and that you get to see the show!
