Any discounts out there????
I’ve looked on Ticketmaster and it seems to be pretty much sold out. Is there somewhere else to get tickets?

Tickets are here http://www.emersoncolonialtheatre.com/calendar/moulin-rouge-the-musical/
No discounts at all yet, and frankly, the prices are insane for a pre-bway tryout.

Do we think there is hope for a discount or should I suck it up and pay full price???
By the time you wait for the discount it will probally be sold out, but full price is kinda pricey.

If we only knew!!! I'd say, depends where you want to sit. There are a lot of tickets available at the moment it seems, but the non-balcony tickets are $$$$, so I can potentially see those being discounted in the future. Between this and the Alanis show, Boston has two high-priced shows playing at the same time, so maybe that betters the odds?
Also, the fees are not pleasant. About $12-$20 a ticket extra!

Heads up. A bunch of $25 tickets became available for Jagged Little Pill for multiple dates. I snatched a ticket for a bunch of shows so I'll be seeing it multiple times. It will also help offset the expensive tickets I'll be paying for Moulin Rouge.

Thanks for the heads up, just grabbed one for a 2-show day trip we're making. Will help balance out that Moulin Rouge ticket I got as well :)

Has anybody been to this theatre? I bought a ticket in the mid balcony (row C). How good is my view going to be? It looks like a huge theatre so I hope the actors don't end up looking like ants.

Nobody has been in the theater for awhile since it's been closed for a few years, and they are currently doing renovations.
I've been to the theater once and it's quite massive. I was very close to the stage but looked around, it's huge and very beautiful. So glad this is selling well, the cast is phenomenal.

I'm so excited about this. I have tickets to see it once but wonder if I should snag another pair towards the end of the run.

That's what I did. I took a chance and bought front row dress circle center seats for both the first performance on June 27th and the last performance on August 5th during the AMEX presale. I had a feeling Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo would be in the cast, but Danny Bernstein was a pleasant surprise. So I'm kinda glad I splurged on the two shows. As with most tryouts, the show you see at the beginning of the run can be vastly different than the show prior to going to Broadway.

So, I bought tickets today and chose the print at home option. I ordered from the theater website, not Ticketmaster. I received a confirmation on the website, but no confirmation e-mail or tickets. Is this typical? Do they wait for the charge to be fully processed?

When I bought my tickets back in January, I got a confirmation email from Emerson Colonial with a PDF of the tickets I bought. I believe I got the email immediately or within the same day. I don't recall having to wait lonh for it. Hope this helps.

The Boston prices are totally nuts. But there's something interesting. I was looking at prices on the date I purchased, July 5, seats in row q where I purchased are currently $159. When I purchased them back in Jan I paid $129.

she has written recently on her Twitter account recently that the is "on her way to conquer some fears" so I bet she will return to Broadway.
I wonder what’s the reason for the expensive ticket prices, even if it’s a large production they seem unusually high for an out of town tryout.
