Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that the original Broadway cast of Mrs. Doubtfire will record a cast album this week in New York City. The album will feature the Broadway cast that opened the show on December 5, 2021, including Tony Award nominee Rob McClure as Daniel Hillard, Jenn Gambatese as Miranda Hillard, Peter Bartlett as Mr. Jolly, Charity Angél Dawson as Wanda Sellner, Mark Evans as Stuart Dunmire, J. Harrison Ghee as Andre Mayem, Analise Scarpaci as Lydia Hillard, Jake Ryan Flynn as Christopher Hillard, Avery Sell as Natalie Hillard and Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar as Frank Hillard.  

Distribution details and a release date will be announced soon.

That's cool, I hope they release it very close to re-opening as to drum up some interest in the show because looking at ticket sales, they are pretty soft.

I would have thought they’d planned that way, but no way will they have it ready in a week.

You're right, April really snuck up on me and I didn't know the exact date they were re-opening. Ah well.

I like that they're letting the original kids record the album, even though they aren't returning to the show.

This was my first Broadway show coming out of the shutdown. 
I look forward to hearing the expanded orchestrations.
