Broadwayguy is right. We were gonna do LSoH in our city theatre, seating several hundred and it was going to be 400 dollars per performance. We then decided to do it in our small school theatre that seats less than 100...we are doing several more performances...now each performance is only gonna be 85 dollars.

Our theatre seats 200 - for us, typical MTI shows cost around $150 per performance, plus $400 for rental of materials, plus a $400 deposit, refinded when materials are returned (minus damages or missing books).
You have to pay everything in advance in order to get the materials.
it has a lot more to do then just ur seating
ticked prices also
I did little shop in a 701 seat theatre 2 years ago and it was 500 per show with $3 tickets
total it cost us $1500 just to do the show
plus the orchestra music (whatever all the orchestra parts are), scripts and vocal scores (they auto ship a certain amount for a show, then all the extras(rehersalscore, orchextra, visual assistance, commercials, study guides, logos, the plant for LSOH, interviews with the writers/producers)
example of an extra cost: orchestrations were $500 extra, the Audrey II designs were $200, the logo pack was $100, the rehersal score was $300( I think), if we wanted to rent their AUdery II it had to be decided if it was a costume ($3000) or a prop($1500) which was to be shiped in a 10 foot by 10 foot wooden crate, that we had to pay for if damaged
the scripts and vocal, piano/conductors score, sometimes a study guide is sent with a down payment (I think its $500)
if you send all the scrips/vocals bacj you get the $500 back HOWEVER each script not returned (he he) is $25 each, the conductor score and orchastratios are $50 each, and so on and so on.
MTI charges a whole lot for a whole lot of stuff that most of the time you might not need but mostly comes in handy for things. EX the rehersal score is the entire music score in a computer program that is on CD, this has all the orchastrations in a midi sound file almost (we used this as our orchestra) just hoook up the computer to a sound system or speakers and your good to go.
any other questions about it PM me or e-mail me
