I've heard a lot of mixed things about Curtains. I'm gonna need to pick 2/3- Drowsy, Curtains, ACL. My mom really wants to see Drowsy and she saw ACL years ago and I guess she didn't really like it... I want to see it, though.

Well, if you have to pick 2 out of 3 and your mom is dying to see DROWSY and you're dying to see ACL, I guess CURTAINS is off your list.

I have to say - I saw A CHORUS LINE just before the cast changes. (There are about 8 new people in the show.) I had never seen a professional production of it before. The dancing is really phenomenal, but I wasn't blown away by the show. And unfortunately Charlotte D'Amboise (who is still with the show) was a very big disappointment.

I *really* think you and your mother will have a *wonderful* time at CURTAINS. I probably sound like I work on the show or something! I don't! I just fell in love with it. It's my feel-good show.

I haven't seen MARY POPPINS or XANADU, so I can't give you advice on either one. (Friends of mine saw XANADU and didn't really love it, but they saw a *very* early preview.) I'd put ACL and RENT at the bottom of my list and tell you to nix one of those. If you *really* want to see ACL, you should probably go. I had heard such awful things about Charlotte D'Amboise, but I wanted to see the choreography. Charlotte was a disappointment. However, Charlotte is only performing 6 shows a week with different actresses covering Thursdays and Sundays. Not sure how the new cast members are shaping up.

CURTAINS is a fun show, if only for its performances. The materials is subpar. Fun for a night's entertainment, but not really satisfying. What makes it satisfying is seeing Pierce, Ziemba, Monk, Daniely, and all onstage.

FROST/NIXON is not only a fantastic play but will soon be a movie with Langella, Sheen, and Kevin Bacon. It's a great opportunity to catch this wonderful play before it's turned into a movie.

It was probably my favorite play of the year (along with CORAM BOY). Very funny!

With that sort of ungrateful attitude, if you are going to give up so easily on finding tickets to this exquisite play, then it serves you right that you will miss it.

P.S. Scratch out A CHORUS LINE. It's out of place among the others.

Well, I don't know how many seats you need - or if you need them together - but I found a large selection of seats starting down in ROW H of the orchestra on August 16.

Like I said, if you give up, you'll be stuck seeing MARY POPPINS-es for the rest of your life.

And there are at least 2 tickets for every performance between August 16-19 matinee in ALL THREE categories. (Gotta look at the source...telecharge. Not a broker.)

If you have to scratch one I'd scratch one of the two oldest -- Rent or Hairspray. Once shows have been running for so long they have a tendancy to get worn out. I saw Hairspray a year ago and it was just boring. And I thought I would love the show, but it was so boring and lacking...

Well, I already bought tickets to see Spray and it's my favorite show. It's weird, because on telecharge there weren't tickets after the 12th. hmmm. Maybe I'm just not very good with getting tickets. I would love to see F/N before it becomes a movie because then I can live with that experience for my whole life.

That's probably because you were using the link from broadwaybox. That discount ends 8/12. But there are tickets available.

It's not a huge theater. I'm sure that's fine. I think distance actually works to your advantage with that one.
