Apologies if this has been discussed on an older thread. I am wondering, with the launch of the new US in a few months, does anyone have any insight into if this production will be equity or non? If the production is equity, are there any insights into exciting casting rumors? Big Mamma Mia fan here and so excited to have this joyous show back on the road!

Hey there! It will be Equity according to this casting notice: https://www.broadwayworld.com/equity-audition/MAMMA-MIA--Producing-Org-TBD-2023-38904 and it's a fun idea for a 25th anniversary tour.

I have always love Mamma Mia! Thrilled it's going back out on the road, and I would love to see it back on Broadway at some point.

I'm pretty sure it's Equity, based on the information on Playbill under "Upcoming Broadway Tours". Still waiting on the cast-maybe it will be announced within the next few weeks since the tour opens in October?

I know one of the male cast members and they're Equity so it's def. an Equity tour. Hopefully it's a full production and not something cheap looking. Probably hoping to bring it back to Broadway.

The last (scheduled) stop on the tour ends on September 1 next year. I could absolutely see the Shuberts plucking this right back into one of their houses in October. With the property and ABBA itself having a practical new renaissance -- especially given younger audiences love for the films -- I think the inevitable revival will prove to be a smash.

I just wish it was a true revival but we'll probably just a rehash.

Phyllidia Lloyd intends to bring this to Broadway (or a production of Mamma Mia) for the 25th anniversary. Give us an all star cast!
Audra! Bernadette! Simard! Idina! Mueller! Headley!

Heather Headley as Donna, Emily Skinner as Tanya, and Mary Testa as Rosie are my dream Dynamos.
However, Heidi Blickenstaff or Stephanie J Block as Donna would also be on my shortlist as well.
Thinking of any of them singing Winner Takes It All is my idea of vocal heaven. 😂

Hell, let’s get Ana Gasteyer back on Broadway as any of the three dynamos.

I think the real news in the article is that this actor has toured as the Cowboy in the Village People!

Let's also not forget that 2024 is ABBA's 50th anniversary...
