Posted: 2/19/14 at 9:41amI know this isn't technically about a show, but he is a Broadway performer. Did anyone see him on Kelly and Michael this morning? They surprised him with ex-girlfriends and he was so genuinely excited to be reconnected with them. Seems like such a nice guy!

"...They surprised him with ex-girlfriends..."
Seriously??! Why would they do that? Isn't he married?

Posted: 2/19/14 at 9:51amWhat sounds disturbing? Is he NOT a nice guy? He said once you hit 60, you just want to reconnect with people from your past and his wife can't complain because she had all her exes at their wedding. It was funny.

Posted: 2/19/14 at 10:01amI'm sad he didn't marry Sandy, because I would laugh about Mandy and Sandy Patinkin for all eternity.

Posted: 2/19/14 at 10:17amHe has publicly admitted he was a very angry actor for many years but as he has gotten older he has changed his tune and supposedly is very nice now.

He had been looking for both women, and while he reconnected with one, timing had kept them from getting together. He went on to say how he used his FBI connections to find his college gal pal but to no avail.
It really was a very sweet suprise and a lovely segment.

Posted: 2/19/14 at 8:39pmI've never met Patinkin, but I have friends who have worked with him. They described him as aloof because he was so obsessively focussed on the character he was playing, but nobody I know suggested he was deliberately cruel or intentionally difficult.

Hmmmm....I think Toni Collette (If I remember the story correctly) as well as a number of TV shows would have a different opinion. But, yes, I beleive all the stories come from his method acting/intensity of approach; however, that doesn't excuse poor behavior.
