Munkustrap - FYI Maria will not be performing today (and I don't believe there is a matinee anyway).

She's eligible for a Tony if she performs on opening night, which by all indications, God willing, she will be.
Someone mentioned Lisa Brescia going on in her absence. I know there are two understudies for Freidman. Is Brescia the only one going on, or are they splitting time? I imagine at this early stage, neither one of the understudies has rehearsed very much.

An inquiry was made to her management about sending best wishes to Maria and part of the response was that she was entering the hospital today.
Could be incorrect information but it seemed legit to me. Does anyone know if she performed tonight?

Well, since it's elective surgery, I doubt she was rushed in early due to emergency. I am sure she performed tonight. It could very well be a mixup.
However, since it is insider information, I am not one to question.
