Mark Sanchez plugs Broadway

I was just watching the pre-game show for MNF and they had an interview with Sanchez where he said how much he loves Broadway and has several cast recordings in his car. The interviewer asked which ones and he rattled off Rock of Ages, In the Heights, Jersey Boys, Wicked and one other I can't remember.

Didn't he make an appearance on the Tonys this past year, or did I imagine that? Has he always been a vocal supporter? Regardless, it was nice to see a plug for Broadway come from the sports world.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

He was indeed a presenter this past year, though I don't remember which award or segment he introduced.

From what I've heard, he's been plugging many bway castmembers since he arrived in town.

The producers of the Tony Awards would hardly care about ANY sort of Union Solidarity.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

See the BWW report on Sanchez from around the Tonys. Seems like he attended a lot of live theater when he was in USC, and his appreciation has carried over to Broadway. Looks like a real fan. If I were the producers of Lombardi, I'd send him a comp ticket, and make sure the press knew what day he was attending.

He's supposedly a closet gay.

I don't know him, but we have mutual friends.
Claim he is a straight horn-dog. For whatever its worth...

Mark and Eli both come across as class act. They are really a credit to NJ, NY and the NFL at large.

They are really role models which is something that some NFL players could learn from them.
