'Cate Blanchett is visited by three different spirits of Nicole Kidman in order to learn the true meaning of awards season.' - written & directed by Kevin Zak at Benson Drive Productions
Oh, look - someone is writing a show made just for me!

If this was Mindelle and Sharp writing it as well as starring in it, I would be so sat. Unfortunately, Kevin J. Zak has had a failure to launch as a writer between Ginger Twinsies and the Rob Lake/Muppet show, and so I’m foreseeing that it’s going to be Marla and Josh elevating pedestrian material, hopefully with far less shouting than GT.

Considering the entire run is selling only 594 seats, it doesn’t seem like a tall order

You're telling on yourself more than actually critiquing his work. Twinsies was hilarious and had a respectable limited run. And Rob Lake was his Rob Lake's show, not his. You might as well blame The Muppets for its failure, which would be equally bizarre.

And you’re telling on YOURSELF. Kevin? That you?
It’s called an opinion. Get over it.

I'm curious how this is for anyone that goes! I feel like I wouldn't be well-versed in enough of the pop culture referenced in this but I love Marla Mindelle and Josh Sharp.

Ginger Twinsies was funny.
I am growing weary of the sheer volume of millennial nostalgia take-offs,.though.

Ginger Twinsies was generally well-received, managed to build some buzz, and did have a respectable limited run- it certainly fared much better than its immediate predecessors at the Orpheum. Hardly a real failure to launch for Zak. In fact, it seemed to launch him pretty well.

Wasn't he also a script doctor for Death Becomes Her?

Exactly lol Saying you disliked something and so they had a failure to launch while… commenting on their next project.
