I work in Times Square and enjoy seeing the change of marquees throughout the year. Instead of making 100 threads for each new show or getting buried in the 6th page of a thread I thought we might compile everything here.

My favourites is definitely The Winter Garden, The New Amsterdam and the Imperial, the new LED marquee of the Imperial works well with the rest of the theatre.

I love the Imperial's new marquee - heck, anything was better than the pathetic and ugly excuse for a marquee it has before. My only complaint is that I wish "IMPERIAL" had been in real letters at the top as opposed to being part of the screen. It would have made it a lot classier.

Wonderful post. I saw my first Broadway show nearly four decades ago and the sight of a marquee still gives me a chill. Promises to be an exciting season.
Wow, the Of Mice and Men marquee is Ug-ly
^ it has James Franco's face on it, therefore you are wrong.
Twelfth Night/Richard III is still running at the Belasco, so no, Hedwig's marquee is not up yet.
Heres a few more from this Tony Season
Twelfth Night/ Richard III Hedwig and the Angry Inch-March 29th
A Night With Janis Joplin The Realistic Joneses-March 13th
The Glass Menagerie The Velocity of Autumn-April 1st
No Mans Land/ Waiting for Godot The Cripple of Inishmaan-April 12th

You'd think they would have added like "Violet: a musical" or something for the tourist who have no clue what the show is.
Wow! ^ For some reason… I really wasn't expecting to see that marquee up so soon, let alone at all. They seemed to stay quiet after the initial announcement back in January… so I thought we might've lost this one. Exciting!
Does anyone remember/know the link for that photographer (who posted most of his stuff on Tumblr, if I remember correctly...) with beautiful shots of the marquees a few seasons ago? I love these threads… marquees are gorgeous.

Does anyone else prefer the 46th Street side of the Imperial better than the 45th Street side? To me, the 46th side is a better looking marquee, and suits the theatre, and street more
The front of the Imperial is more grand.
Anyone have a picture of "Lady Day" at the Circle? Maybe one of my favorite marquees. There's no signage. Just that promo picture of Audra singing. I love it. Classy, subtle. It's great.
Sure is, Chewy! THANK YOU!
I saw the Lady Day marquee on Tuesday… if I pass by tomorrow I will grab a picture!

One of my favorite parts of my theater trips is, after arriving at my hotel, just walking around and tracking down all the theaters for the shows I'll be seeing, and checking out the marquees and publicity photos. Love seeing these.
What played Prince of Wales before BOM? Wasn't it mamma mia? Did it move in the west end too ?
Yes, Mamma Mia moved from the Prince of Wales to the Novello.
Thanks! Guess it's on it's last leg! Well Audra looks great!
