I was looking at seats on sale on telecharge and I was wondering how the view is from these rows in Balcony?
Sorry if there is a thread already for something like this!
I sat in row F of the balcony for the second preview and they're great seats. The balcony in the Shubert does not feel like it's up in the sky, it's better than the mid/rear mezz in a lot of theaters. I'd actually recommend sitting in the mezz/balcony over the orchestra for this show, the stagecraft is so impeccable that you want to see the whole stage picture at once.
Oh okay! Awesome! :)
I checked it out and the best row on the day i plan to see it is G! I just might get it!

That's one of the reasons why I hoped they had a good view! Haha

Me too. I don't want to pay alot for Cinderella, but they say the back of the rear mezz is terrible. All the times I could have put in points for Auduence Rewards and didn't do it. You can get a orchestra seat there for $42 and 500 points. But I am short on the points. I might have to open the wallet.

Is there an outside aisle along the wall? Meaning... is the most house-right seat in the balcony an aisle seat?
Just try to sit towards the center! There are poles throughout the balcony that could definitely block your view a little bit. I'm not sure where each one is, but I know that there are none in the center section of the 100s section.
It should also be okay if you're on the more extreme sides...I was in F 22 and didn't have a problem but it might have been a little annoying for the person in seat 16 or 18 on the right side.

I don't want to start a tidal wave of, how cr*p will me seat be or how good will my seat be but I am coming from New Zealand (I know, whoop-dee-doo, who cares) and I have seat Row F, Seat 101 in the Balcony, any poles?
I was looking through Telecharge and the seat they gave me was Left Balcony, Row G Seat 25 (an edge/aisle seat) should I get this? Does anyone know how the show looks from a seat in this vicinity?
Anyone know:
Is Matilda getting a NYC cast recording or ought I get a cd from RSC?
If so, what label?
Thanks!
^^ Those seats would be perfect.
^ The London recording is great! Highly recommend.
I bought my tickets before reading anything about seat locations! I'm in the balcony, seats F 20 and 22, on the right side. I guess my friend and I can switch seats at intermission if one of us is behind a pillar!
^ There will be no extra seats most likely. When I went, every seat was taken. The poll should not be a problem, and if it is there, it is only a poll. No more than 4 inches in diameter.
I'm sorry I didn't explain myself too well. From what perfectlymarvelous said, F22 should be okay, and the person in F20 might be behind the pole. So my friend and I will exchange seats at intermission so that each of us will see one act clearly. Or my fingers are crossed that both seats are okay. I'm looking forward to the show in any event!

I'm having a hard time finding tickets for Matilda in mid April, that or I'm not to sure how to use telecharge.
Here's a picture I found of the view from Row D of the Balcony.
