Is Matthew Morrison leaving Finding Neverland? Received an offer from Telecharge to catch him before he flies away 1/24. First that I've heard of this.
It's definitely been mentioned on here before. I don't really follow him or the show, and that wasn't new information to me.
Is Matthew Morrison leaving Finding Neverland?
Like it matters..

You have to wait for someone who cares and is upset by this news before dismissing it as trivial. I mean, come on, that's Trolling 101...

That seems pretty definitive since it came from Telecharge.
Well, that would make Matt's run close to 10 months, not including previews. It would be interesting to see if the show would recoup its costs by then, though I'm speculating it would have to run 14-16 months for that.

I just got an email from Broadway Box for discounted tickets and it says to catch it before Morrison leaves on 1/24. With multiple sources now saying it I think it's more than likely.
...And this is now "breaking news" on BWW News!
It's been on TKTS at every performance, so it's hard to fathom a groundswell of last-minute fervor. Possible, however.

I would assume someone better than Morrison.

I am glad that Matthew had the opportunity to play a clear lead in a Broadway musical after so many featured parts.
He earnt a drama desk and drama league nomination for the role and the box office has been healthy so far so I would call it a successful run!
I wonder what what he will do next?

Comes at a bad time during the early 2016 lull. It should be interesting who will replace him.

Interesting that they announced this so late. Probably were negotiating with a big star. I have a feeling it's going to be someone unexpected.
Is it crazy to ask : Jeremy Jordan?
And Kelsey Grammar comes back Jan 19th
As much as I would like to see Jordan back in the role, I assume they are negotiating a bigger name to get them through the winter months.
It's more than a respectful run if he plays 10 months until January 2016. As his first BW starring role he has to be happy with how well the show did.

Chris Pine was in talks. Jordan has a large fanbase. It would be smart if he got a real broadway person to replace.
Can we please bring in the man that should have taken this to Broadway in the first place?

Its done well financially. The whole Tony snub thing must have stung the company but Matthew is already a Tony nominee and has an Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations so that shouldn't affect his career prospects at all. I am sure a producer would be happy with an actor who has proven to be able to lead a big musical with a healthy box office for 10 months.

The tony snub was absolutely ridiculous. The voters were punishing the cast for their obnoxious producer. Just disgusting. Tony voters act like 10 year olds sometimes. I'm not saying it should have gotten 10 tony awards but the COMPLETE snub was just childish.

It really wasn't because of their "obnoxious producer." The show got awful reviews, and isn't very good.
I'm happy Jordan didn't originate it. He has "Supergirl", and didn't get stuck with this clunker of a show. The Tony snubs weren't even snubs. Did anyone seriously think it had a chance at getting a single nomination? Weinstein isn't the only thing that ruined the show, folks.
