I found out two days ago that Mean Girls will be playing at La Mirada Theater next season. I missed out on the national tour and the movie remake last year. I want some advice should I go or skip. Is it really worth the trouble Tina Fey gone through bringing the movie to Broadway in her book writing debut. I was initially enticed by Neil Benjamin co writing the score since I loved her work with Legally Blonde.

I say def go, if its not your cup of tea then at least then you'll know, however, I used to be in the bandwagon of meh, to the music, but it has grown on me. I love listening to the cast album and even though the film they made uses most of the songs, there are quite a few that didnt make the cut, and would be fun to watch it on stage.

I love the show and was lucky enough to see it in DC Pre-Broadway as well as several times on Broadway and on tour. It's not a perfect show by any means but it's a good time and the score is really catchy in my opinion. If you're a fan of the original film, you'll have a good time with the moments from the film that they've brought into the musical. Another reason I'd say go is supporting your regional theaters as they are definitely at a time when they could use the support.
