what you all seem to be missing is they would not cast 20 year olds in the role of high-schoolers. They would cast kids(well teens).

Um, except for Spring Awakening and 13, most shows don't really cast age appropriate. Look at RENT, Legally Blonde, etc. My cast is fairly young and would look fine on stage.

I think with the right team, this would make a GREAT Off-Broadway, Limited Run show.

Hahahaha, that's funny. I think YOU seem to be missing something here. When Saved was Off-Broadway every one of those "highschoolers" was out of college except, I believe, Emily Walton. They would most definitely cast people at least in their 20s.
And I don't see Morgan Weed as a Janice at all for some reason. All the other casting ideas sound pretty feasible.

actressabby242, I think I'd cry if the great role of Cady was wasted on Bailey Hanks.

Wasn't there a real stage version of this show? Perhaps it was just in workshops, but I can almost swear that I saw a picture and an article about it in "Backstage". Celia Keenan-Bolger was one of them.
