ok so here is a random question, who would you cast if Mean Girls became a musical. It's on T.V. right now and I was wondering who would be in the musical if it ever became one. Let me know what you think.

Kelly2 and I came up with a pretty good cast if I do say so myself.

Karen: Annaleigh Ashford
Gretchen: Tiffany Engen
Regina: Jessica Lee Goldyn (or Leigh Ann Larkin)
Cady: Siera Boggess
Mr. Herron: Jason Gillman
Mrs. Herron: Ana Gasteyer
Janice: Morgan Weed
Damian: Daniel Everidge
Aaron: Aaron Tveit/James Snyder
Kevin Gnapoor: Shaun Taylor Corbet
Mrs. Norburry: Kaitlyn Hopkins
Mr. Duvall: Norm Lewis
Mrs. George: Gaelen Gilliand

winter_sky...it looks like you're totally type casting based off the appearance from the people in the film...if i'm wrong, correct me.

Well most shows that are based on movies have actors who at the very least are evocative of the people who originated the roles. Yes for every Kate Shindle as Vivienne there is a Norm Lewis as King Triton. That being said, I can imagine all of the performers I listed doing a great job.

I 'm gonna steal some of winter_sky's just cause that is some pretty damn amazing casting. But I have a few that I think would be cool:

Regina: Haven Burton (or Leigh Ann Larkin)
Cady: Sierra Boggess (or Jennifer DiNoia, Chicago Wicked's Elphaba Standby)
Karen: Annaleigh Ashford (Amanda Seyfried..cause she CAN sing)
Gretchen: Tracy Jai Edwards


Janice: Morgan Weed
Damian: Daniel Everidge
Aaron: Aaron Tveit

Joan the Secretary will be Sharron Matthews, who played the role hilariously in the movie, and is a staple of the Toronto musical theatre scene.

Aw, Tracy Jai would be so cute as Gretchen. She is kind of perfect looking which would make Regina's "I'm sorry, but she's not pretty" scene kind of ridiculous.

i think haven burton as regina would be great, although, i dont think that ana gayster would be good for the mom. EVEN though she was in the movie.

Leigh Ann kind of looks like Rachel McAdams as well...she'd be a great Regina! Mean Girls is the only movie I really want a musical out of. I don't know why, I just think it would make a great musical.

Great casting!
I could totally picture Leigh Ann as Regina (although Haven would be great too). She is so sweet in real life, so playing a complete bitch would be amusing to me.

She does look a little like Rachel McAdams too. I always thought Leigh Ann was the love child of Rachel McAdams and Megan Hilty.

I honestly think Down with Love could be a fantastic musical. The music in the movie was done primarily by Mark Shaiman so I'm sure he could make some beautiful, fun songs.

It's one of my favorite movies and I think there are so many people who would be great in it.
