I never really stage door twice unless I drop by to talk to someone I know who is in the cast and then I usually just stay off to the side away from where everyone is getting autographs and pictures.
There have been a few times where I'll just stand there minding my own business when a cast member will stop and talk to me because they recognize me from before or from seeing me somewhere else. Like when I took a road trip to Philly to see Julia in Wicked, while waiting for her to come down after the show Sebastian came outside and came over to me and was like "Heyyyy!" and I was so confused by it. He had rememebered me from when I saw the tour in Tampa with a friend and we had talked for a bit there. It really surprised me that he would remember me. I never expect for someone to recognize me but if they do then I just talk to them like they're a normal person because that's what they are.

I saw Lennon twice so I could say I met the whole cast twice. I then met Julia Murney again in Wicked.
I met Cheyenne Jackson twice. Once he was an ensemble member in Millie, and the next time as Chad in All Shook Up. I didn't have a conversation with him either time, and I know he didn't remember me lol. He just signed something for me both times.

"How is Matthew Morrison at the stage door and Barret Foa??? Are they very nice or rude?"
"Great cause I would love to meet both of them, I think if Barett put his arm around me for a pix I would prob jump him lol"
I don't normally go crazy over mispellings but, Barrett is spelled with 2 R's and 2 T's.
It is not Barett nor Barret.

I've met Megan Hilty several times and she remembered me each time (just not my name).

All Shook Up- I met the cast so what of 4 times (3 times at the show, and 1 once in Bryant Park) and Cheyenne remembered me from awhile back, as did Nikki M. James.
Wicked- JLT and Joey Mcyntire both remembered me. JLT actually hugged me when she remembered me.
I've stagedoored shows more than once. Unless the actor/actress brings it up, I generally don't mention that I've seen the show more than once, or stagedoored.
Mandy Gonzalez remembered me from seeing Lennon (she wasn't out any of the times I saw the show). She would always be like "You're BACK! It's so good to see you..." etc. Then, I ran into her one day and she wanted to know if I was going to the closing (the next afternoon). I wasn't.
I've met and spent time with Barrett Foa countless times.
I met Bea Arthur when Billy Goldenberg brought my friend and I to meet her at dinner after her show. Then I saw her again at the "Golden Girls" Season 3 DVD signing a few months later.
I met Daniel Davis twice after LA CAGE.
I'm trying to remember others.
For me, I usually just talk to them again, and sometimes they remember me, sometimes they don't. Like with Julia Murney and Sebastian Arcelus, they remembered me and we just had normal conversations. Then again, talking to people who are part of tour casts is different. Especially if they're as down to earth as Julia and Sebastian are.
I met Sho and Megan twice when I went ot NYC. I had two different things I wanted them to sign, so I went twice. Plus, the first night it was raining hard and they were really rushed. I gave them both a gift the first night, but due to the rain they couldn't even open it. But they remembered it and thanked me the second night.

I've met greg 3 times. He still doesn't remember my name though.
Second time I stagedoored for Lestat was amazing. Everyone remembered me, namely Carolee because we had a long conversation, and her son has the same name as me. But yeah, if you are memorable, they remember you. Hugh was the only cast member who didn't remember me, so it was kind of funny.
I've met Bernadette Peters at several stage doors once on consecutive nights. She remembered me and is very nice everytime I meet her. I've never felt akward about taking pictures with her.
I met Jeff Goldblum twice, I believe I met him once and then about 3 weeks later again. After having chatted with him for about an hour the first time, we ran into him again getting tickets to The Pillowman and he remembered us. We didn't expect him to AT ALL but he just picked up the conversation where we left off. He didn't remember our names (fine by me) but remembered our conversations, etc. He was VERY sweet and really funny. It was a VERY pleasant surprise.
I've met Kristoffer Cusick 5 times now, and I still can't really tell if he remembers who I am (though I'm thinking he does, especially because of how he acted the last time) so I just act like I do when I meet people for the first time.
In the cases of Jenna Leigh Green and Derrick Williams, the second time I met them they greeted me with "STEPHANIE!!" so, needless to say I knew they remembered me. :)
I like my autographed playbills, so I always get people to sign, whether or not I already have their sig...I have a nice little exhibit of them in my room. hehe
Oh man, actors totally tend to remember me the second (or third or, uh... fourth?) time around, most likely because I am extraordinarily good-looking. (This is just a hypothesy.) Sutton Foster is sort of brilliant about this. I've met her a bunch of times, but there was a long stretch between the last time I met her and the time before that, so I didn't really think she'd remember me, but she did that "Hey YOU," thing. I think the other people at the stagedoor thought we must've been BFF; I wanted to say something like, "Yo, Sutton, how's the family?" but that would have only been funny to me, and probably not to Sutton. I roll with the punches, you know.
Todd Buonopane from Spelling Bee remembered my face everytime I went to the theatre, but he only knows my name because I said Happy Birthday to him haha.

Now that's a way to get remembered!

Usually when I stagedoor more than once for the same show, I'll have a different person with me, and it tends to be a great experience for them as well.
The only person that's recognized me is Barrett Foa, which completely surprised me. The first time I met him, I said, "My friend and I are always talking about how when we get our braces off, we'll have teeth just like yours." He laughed and said they looked like they were coming along great.
The second time, as he was signing my Playbill, he did a double take and said, "Hey, when do the braces come off?"
Made me feel awesome!
Haha yea mrslovett7 that is a way for me to get rememebered and thrown in jail haha

So yeah I doubt actors would remember me because I tend to just stand there and smile in amazement at them. I mean I got made fun of by Bobby Spencer for not asking for an autograph! I just stood there and held the Playbill out to him and smiled and he was like "So I'm assuming you want an autograph but you haven't said anything yet!" Then I came to my senses. (He was very very sweet though!)
But Greg Jbara claimed to remember me from last summer when I met him earlier this month. There's no telling if he really did or not, he's just a great guy!
I used to stagedoor The Boy From Oz whenever I saw the show. I didn;t always get to say hello to Hugh. He eventually learned my name and would actually say "Hi Malki" when he saw me. Will he remember me if I see him again, probablyu not, but who knows.
Greg Jbara remembers names also. In fact, he used to mispronounce my name and I finally corrected him. I went to say hi after seeing another show and he actully rememberd my name and pronounced it correctly.
Obviously, not all actors are like that though.
im seeing WICKED when it opens in London later this year and i really am hoping to meet Idina Menzel after the show. what is she like after the show? is she nice/ rude? it's just that i think shes great at acting-especailly singing and i wasn't sure if she gets bad moods or something

For those of you who stagedoor a show more than once, did you ever stop and think that you're usurping the time that first-timers and only-timers might have to chat with a performer? Or should a performer stand on the sidewalk all night just because of groupies?
