As of now she's out the end of May. She only contracted to do 12 months, one year. She started May 31st.

Sadly . . . no. She told me the other day before she went on vacation that she would be leaving on the 28th of May. She may extend two months longer though.
I think that Kendra wants the job. I think that is the only reason she stayed with the tour but I am just guessing. I read in a playbill.com interview that she ould welcome the idea of going to Broadway
I saw the show last night and was really disappointed. It was my 6th time and my last until this cast leaves. First off, the ensemble was so boring! No life. Eden slet through Act 1. She woke up at NGD and was awesome from then on.
Megan Sikora was on as Glinda and was decent. The chemistry was non existant and the show lacked any depth and charisma. Each song was played through, not acted; therefore by the time they got to "For Good" it seemed so out of character for either of them to sing and the emotions were so forced it was painful.
Anthony Galde went on as the Wizard and did a nice job. The show really lost something. I can't put it in words but the story and magic is gone.

I'm all for a PROFESSIONAL taking over the role. Megan was great and I loved her each time I saw / met her.
It seems now the show is whitewashed and made only for the laughs. I'ma ll for young performers, but the ones I saw last night had no clue who these people were. I miss Idina and Kristin. (ps this is the first time I EVER said that)

See, Im going on the 22nd of March to see the show, which I am looking forward to because I love Eden's voice and she's amazing and I loved Megan and Ben from before.
I think they should bring in someone well known in the theater community to take over the role- I dont know what Laura Bell Bundy is doing right now, but she was Kristin's u/s for the original cast, so It would be nice to see her in the show, impossible but Jennifer coming back would be amazing, but like I said, its impossible- she wants to spend time with her family, so it will be interesting to see over the coming months the names that are rumored.
Laura Bell Bundy had a blow up with the show/ the producers I dont know to much about it mabye somebody else can help us (Popular) so I know it wont be her. To boot, she is doing legally blond
really....this show needs to break out of the understudy mold, meaning no more promoting.I haven't seen it since early previews in 2003, but, from the various things I've seen, Hilty is really the only u/s to have gone in who realy nails it. I loved Shoshana on The Godspell recording, but the clips I've seen of her in Wicked are eh. I am not judging her performance.
Then you must not of heard anything. She changes everything she does EVERY night to keep it fresh. She is the best vocalist for Elphaba in my eyes that Wicked has had so far. She was the original standby so obviously she’s going to take things from Idina and she takes little things from everyone else but all of the Elphies do that. She does her own thing too. Many of the Elphies have taken some of her things from when she was back as standby. Every one takes ideas from other people. You haven’t even seen her so you shouldn’t be saying that she’s "unoriginal" just yet.
LBB did have a blow up with the producer's. They did offer her the role but she turned it down. Kristin had a blow up with the producers too. That’s why she left as early as she did. They told her that if she didn’t extend her contract they would not help her out at the Tony’s.
Yep, LBB most deffinetly had a blow up with the producers. They offered her the chance to replace Cheno, but she requested all sorts of outrageous demands, including above the title billing, all sorts of dressing room perks, and, among other things, a higher salary than what Kristin was getting. The producers weren't willing to comply with those types of demands, so she left when Kristin left and they brought in JLT and Megan.
And Kristin's debacle was more of a dispute than a blowu up. She didn't want to renew, and, like the previous poster said, the powers that be threatened that they wouldn't campaign her come Tony time if she left. Obviously that didn't matter much because she still left and got a nomination anyway.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I saw Eden a month ago and then last night. It was very very similar. This is just my opinion, don't be offended or anything.

I saw the show Thursday and was really disappointed by this cast. There was just no life to it, the show felt slow and there was a real imbalance in energy. Eden sang wonderfully, and probably the clearest I ever heard the lyrics before, but the acting was not there, at least in the first act. Megan Sikora was fine, I think better than Hilty, but her chemistry with Derrick was non-existant. I'm sure it was due to her first night, but it didn't feel like Derrick was supporting at all. And her vocals with Eden were not good. Ben seemed off as well. Carol was fine, although my biggest problem was enunciation with her. Rob Sapp had the most energy of the night, but it just showed how out of it everyone else was. Not their best night by far.
This was my eighth time seeing the show. It'll be the last for awhile.

Thank you. I can't agree more. I'm not seeing it again for a while. It was so boring last night. They need to tune that show up and actually remind the people that in order to perform, they are required to be awake and paying attention.

Call me "uneducated" if you like, since I've only seen the show once, but I disagree with all of you. Maybe I caught the cast on a good night, but I found them all (with the exception of Carol Kane) to be wonderful. The ensemble was particularly energetic that night, to the point where it stood out to me, at least. Eden's acting was fine, and her voice blew me away. Megan Hilty was definitely a highlight of the show for me.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

She did. I've heard they're vocal program is good also.

She did get her degree from CMU. I think she graduated in 2004??
She has an absolutely amazing voice.
As for the entire cast being lifeless, I have to slightly disagree. Yes, the most recent time I saw it was probably the least energetic, but personally I felt this lack of energy was coming from Eden Espinosa. Maybe it was just the fact that Megan Hilty and Shoshana Bean, no matter what opinions are on their talent, had AMAZING chemistry, and it seemed that not one other character seemed to be able to really connect with Eden. Personally, I thought she had a great voice, but was by no means spectacular. She just didn't stick out to me as fabulous.
