It was announced that Megan Hilty will reprise her role as Glinda in the LA production on October 31, until the show closes in early January.
I know that 9 to 5 is starting previews early April, will this stint in Wicked cause any conflict? Just wondering. I saw it as a little odd.
I was told that if you are in a "original broadway cast" that between your out-of-town tryout and the broadway opening you couldn't be in another show. You were under contract to your current show

I would assume it isn't, because at the stage door Andy Karl said that the entire L.A. cast had been told by the 9 to 5 producers they would transfer with the show to Broadway.

Everything is okay, kiddies.
Numerous actors do other jobs in between out-of-town tryouts and the beginning of previews once a show arrives on Broadway. Its called "paying the bills". I'm sure this concept is quite foreign to many of you young ones, but many grown-ups need to work to keep the bank balances from diminishing.
Megan is one of the smart ones (especially in today's economy) to not stop working in between gigs. She'll be busy until WICKED closes in Los Angeles, then will be ready and available once the New York rehearsals begin for 9 TO 5: The Musical.
Don't be surprised if she manages to snag another job in between the closure of WICKED and the beginning of 9 TO 5: The Musical.

BrodyFosse123, Don't you be talking to me about "paying the bills". It is NOT foreign to me.
