Does anybody else think that would work remarkably well?
Some guy: You looked great!

Hmmm. She's got the voice and I know she would be funny. But, for some reason, it's just not a total fit for me.
I do, however, know that she's been approached to star in THE FIRST WIVES CLUB: the musical. If she does, I'll melt from happiness.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 12:15pmI'd like to see her do Falsettos. Every so often, somebody talks about filming the Marvin Trilogy for PBS. She'd be great as Trina.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 12:23pmThe woman who does Karen"Titty -Boobs" Walker can't do sexpot? She is a bit petite I admit and Sara's height helps the humour but I keep thinking about how she'd manage in "Ruprecht" or her "escap" scene.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 12:32pmMegan would NEVER take a supporting role on Broadway...ever.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 12:41pmIt's a moot point- she's got this talk show thingy of hers.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 12:52pmi think of the three gals in the show, she would fit Muriel best...she's getting a bit long in the tooth for the others.

So what if she has her talk show?
Rosie was able to do her show and SEUSSICAL at the same time. And Kathy Brier was able to do "One Life to Live" and HAIRSPRAY at the same time. It CAN be done.
So, if she does THE FIRST WIVES CLUB, it's entirely possible that she does her talk show at the same time.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 1:19pmI think she'd be great. I think she's so good as Karen on Will & Grace that people think she's really that character--she's really not. They forget what a good actress and great singer she is.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 1:53pm"One Life" & Rosie both taped in the N.Y. area. Megan's show is almost certain to come frm L.A. and that commute is not even a joke!

She is more right for Muriel, but no, she wouldn't take that part at this point in her career.
And your point about people's perceptions of her is correct - last year my stepmother asked me if she "really talks like that."

i don't think she would be too good as Christine.
and Megan did supporting roles on Broadway already....why wouldn't she do that again??? just because she is more famous after "Will & Grace"???? i don't think she must be that full of herself.
also Vanessa Williams recorded her CD "The Sweetest Days" while she was debuting on Broadway as Aurora/Spider Woman in "Kiss..."

Posted: 12/9/05 at 2:47pmThe only way I could see this happen is if she saw DRS, LOVED the part and contacted the producers and said "hey, do you mind if I slip into the show for a few weeks as Christine?" They'd be crazy to say no, but I really see her only taking the time out of her TV career for creating starring roles in new productions/revivals.

She's not full of herself.
It would be a stupid career move to go from a lead in a hit TV show where she's won Emmys...to being a replacement for a supporting role in a Broadway show.
All she needs to do is call her agent and say "I wanna do Broadway" and about a hundred producers would offer to write her an original lead and build a show around her and FOR her.
She's not stupid.

Rosie is an Emmy winner for talk-show hosting. They're completely different leagues and, I'm sorry, Meghan is a hotter name than Rosie right now.
Rosie can pick and choose what she does. Meghan has to keep her name in a star position for when "Will and Grace" ends.
